Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

AOA,

I was born and bred in the UK and lived here all my life. The last 3 years I have seen a massive increase in the number of Pakistani/Indian/Bangladeshi students/workers come on student visas etc.

I work with a few. I would like to see if people agree or disagree with my views/attitudes on these migrants:-

-Pick-up on every single small error Brits make and give negative looks and question why you made this error.

  • Order Brits to do work in a manner that suits themselves
  • Wearing of spectacles? Are they trying to show they are intelligent people.
  • Question always about money exact cost to the penny and give negative looks if your a few pennies out for example you buy a item for £9.90 and say to them it was a tenner they give you negative looks as they know the cost and you were not accurate enough.
-Why do Indians never say hi or bye or see u later etc

I am not racist or against Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshi’s. I am of Pakistani origin and my wife’s Pakistani and I have a very good Indian friend whom I would exclude from the above, but basically its some of there attitudes and ways they work and deal with people that bugs me.

Apologise for the way my comments were written as I found this extremely difficult to put this into words as describing people actions and communication methods is difficult.

Let me know your thoughts.

My plus point is that I was not born in britain hence I cannot be biased
But I did got to college and spent 14 years of my life there with my family

I found britain way too backward as compare to mainland europe which I traveld extensively for many years and could never reverse my opinion

The so called ‘Mirpuri culture’ was quite prevelent and overwhelming and so was Ugandan ‘Patel’ culture along with few other ethical mixes.

Even now the new ethinic influx is way too much despite the fact that britain
has the harshest environment for expatriates, harshest race descrimination and last but not the least, hate crimes against the visible minorities is on the rise, yet again.

Out of choice to live in britain is like condemmend prisoners without any tomorrow.

How sad, but true. :(:k:

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

Dats Soo True , i agree , i hardly travelled to europe just few of them but here if i compare wid Hong Kong where i spent all my life and born there and Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul and Taiwan .. Britians are very backward in any kind of field ( Except English ) :hehe:

Agreed too , i m not against them, but their life style and behaviour is sooo argghhhh, no matter they born in UK they act like Un-Educated people and … …

sorry no offence to anyone out there.

i have to agree with you on that. thats all am goin to say.

That is soo funny u say something offensive and have the cheek to say “sorry no offence”.:aq:

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

Well conversation seems to be swaying away from the original topic.

As far as these immigrants (I rather wont say Migrants) are concerned, its cultural difference. The ones who come to live in UK from outside the bring their own tricks & trade & try to live by them, than integrating & adopting the local habits quickly. It takes time, sometimes lifetime. Also depends upon individuals & environment they live in.

Those who spend few years in University and come out UK graduates and stay in UK have different opinion & view about life in UK than those who land as husband from mirpur (metric pass) and try to live the life exactly as they lived in mirpur.

-------- Now for those who talked about UK being backward country.

UK is backward comparing mainland Europe, agreed, but still there are many things in UK that are better for example, for a muslim better change to educated children, halal food is not a problem a halal shop is in any corner of the country. Big desi community etc etc.

I've been living in Prague for the past three years & even though there is a halal meat shop here (only one in whole Prague) I still drive to Berlin to buy it. Life here is calm & beautiful but I do miss sometimes speaking Punjabi with friends, going out to some desi restaurants in London etc etc. (well I visit London once a month to fulfill all my desi desires anyway).

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

Najim well said dear !!!

most of these indain/pakistani/bangla people fresh off the boat r drinking budwiser and dont know what they are saying lol

Thank you for getting back to the main topic. I didn't imagine my country would get attacked for mentions my views on migrants.

Anyway since you all mentioned Britain as being backward your having a laugh! Yes I agree Britain is not perfect 100% and has issues, but there not what some people make them out to be.

Yes we pay tax like any other country but this is what you get in one way or another:-

Free Healthcare 24/7
Free Education Nursery, Primary, Secondary, College, University (Grants and Funds available)
Almost every job application if not all have equality questionnaire to monitor diversity and fairness.
Diversity approx 500k per year migrants coming to the UK to seek a better life.
Fully established government system free from corruption
Secure from foreign invasion
British roads are one of the best in the world
Technology is advance just behind Japan/South Korea and USA.

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

^^^ agreed, its the best place to live on the planet.

-----------------cvabn--------------------

Students arriving in Britain Should not be called "Immigerants"
otherwise the whole class definition changes. Please correct your basic knowledge of Britain, if you are British.

Britain's "Class-act - 1991" considers all citizen not born in Britain considered as "2nd Class Citizens"
Controversy exists for the Britain born to expatriate family although born in Britain but still has a thin line between these 2 definition - Considered as non discreminatory descrimination. This is a Hush-Hush issue among expatriates because it's embarrasing.

If you realy need to understand divercification in its true form then refer to "Canada's Charter of Rights" which are truely implemented in its full glory, hence all citizens are considered as EQUAL.
The rest of your ^ points are all cosmetic and thererelevence are questionable.

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

The first thing student's do who arrive from Pakistan is they start looking for a rishta, good luck to them.

-------------------cvabn----------------
Do you consider this wrong ?

After all Good education calls for a good rishta in the end. No ? :D

No i don't consider it wrong i'm actually trying to help some students in my class to find them potential rishta's, but unfotunately no one wants to put their face on the tea towel, problem arises with mental comaptibility for some.

------------------cvabn-----------------
Well ! In that case you may just be able to help them to improve their grades
by enticing them with good rishtas. But first comes the carrot and then come the donkey. NO ? :Dlol

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

No matter how hard anyone or i try I think it's difficult for the donkey's to reach to the carrots lol!.

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

I don't agree that boy and girl having the same grades or both having masters degrees equals a successful marriage.

I think Education matters more to the parents and aunts/uncles in finding a prospective partner.

1) NHS struggles, people are flying to France, Hungary & Poland for operations (its a fact). Proving other EU countries have better system.
2) First 13 years of education is free in 90% EU countries that includes UK. (Basic school fee is not charged.)
3) The section that asks for ur ethnicity & background is a discrimination itself. If its fair then colour, race, religion shouldn't matter hence not asked.
4) 500K Migrants per year dont enter UK, thats wrong figure, yet, biggest amount of immigrant entering in any EU country is Spain. The best quality of life in whole EU is Scandinavia. UK has only soft touch for illegal immigrants, so majority entering UK is illegal or non-deserving asylum seekers.
5) What do u think other EU countries are not corruption free? Cleanest on top of list is Finland. UK is way down in the EU list.
6) British roads are not best, I am sure u haven't driven in mainland EU, you pay & drive on most but quality is immaculate. British roads the mostly patched roads in whole EU. You should drive in Austria or Netherlands & feel the difference.
7) Netherlands is ahead of any country when comes to technology in EU, then Germany, UK still lacks behind.

How do I know this? I am a Brit, who lived in Netherlands for almost 4 years, 3 to 6 months depending upon contract in several other mainland EU countries, presently living in Prague Czech Republic.

Re: Pakistani/Indian Migrants In UK

^Tuition fees has only risen in the past 2 years i think, otherwise school college fees are free, tuition fees for many many students is being paid for by the goverment and they also received a grant.College is free, students get a weekly grant and another seperate access fund grant cheque. So educating in UK is a piece of cake.
