COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Danish police said on Wednesday they had found heroin worth more than $1 million (559,000 pounds) that had been smuggled into the country from Pakistan in the hollowed-out blades of 25 antique sword replicas.
They made the discovery after raiding the apartment of a British man who had died earlier from a drug overdose along with a woman of unknown nationality in a hotel room in Copenhagen.
Detectives found 740 grams of heroin of 70 percent purity in the metre-long engraved blades of the decorative swords.

^ Goliko, I do not wish to defend "smuggling", but the problem of "smuggling" is all around the globe, its not just to Denmark. Our criminals have smuggled drugs to our own "sacred" land of Mecca, Medina and what not. Besides, they are "criminals" already, when caught they are punished (or atleast are supposed to). You can't equate this issue alongwith Danish act of cartoons.

What my point was that....Religion apart....there are some moral values of every society....People growing poppy & this getting smuggled to the west ....bring bad name to Pakistan(every society has different values...to those living in the west,religion has no value....their values lie in the society & its built up....if heroin is getting smuggled to denmark then it is destroying it'ssociety....may be just like we think ,how our religion was mocked by the drawings of prophet p.bu.h's cartoons...

Eleven kilograms of heroin was recovered from a passenger on board a Pakistan International Airlines plane on Saturday.
A private television channel reported in its bulletin that the drug was recovered from the PK-719 plane bound to depart Karachi for Manchester.
The plane that reached Karachi from Islamabad was to leave for Manchester but had to stay back for an hour after the drug was recovered. Later, the plane left for Britain.
There was no word about the person who carried the drug and what was his/her nationality.
