Fellas, I have to say that I am somewhat disappointed with us (collectively). I thought we were supposed to manly men, decisive and confident, yet I see that aspect wavering. I was out last night with my cousin and his buddy from Afghanistan. We were talking about the right style, attitude for men. Both my cousin and his friend are pretty manly guys, good looking (not my opinion, just an inference), and are Ma’shallah doing well in life.
While i am digging into my food, two Persian ladies roll in to the restaurant. My fellow gentlemen diners are thinking its full on, yet cousin dearest wusses out. I am not in the dating game, so the Afghani dude goes up to them dolo, chats ups and gets BOTH of their numbers.
So damn embarrassed for my cousin who was making excuses about not stepping up. The sad thing was that he was not the only one. This wasa Pakistani restaurant, so its usual mix of pregnant looking pervy uncles, obviously single and right off the boat Paki dudes, and a sprinkling of professional (and I assume college educated) guys. I am not saying that they should have harrassed the ladies - but come on, is staring while salan is dribbling down your cheek any better?
I thought we could, especially the bluds out your way but come on now - step up or look away. To be fair, we talking about amriki-pakis here. Its creepy and gives us a bad rep
Honestly, if I was in the game, I’d be up there saying my salaams and just chatting up ladies like theyre women not staring like their a piece of meat.
Agreed. Lets do a public service and give some pointers for our challenged bros
See I feel pretty comfortable around women so I’d just walk up and ask them their names and if they dig the Pakistani cuisine. Usually that leads to a normal conversation.
I don’t know know how the Afghani dude played it. He seemed to be doing ok though.
