In this thread, SuperMe has issues about Pakistani government/President on their actions, so I am creatinng this thread from that perspective to continue discussion here, rather than there.
First of all Saudi Arabia is not doing all right, they are a hodge-podge of different laws/rules, they are not “Islamic” government.
The basis of “chop off hands” is if everybody can get enough food then why steal? Currently our governments have failed in making sure that all households have enough food for their needs, so we cannot implement this rule yet.
Lets not blame everything on outside factors, after all we claim that we are Muslims and Islam is best religion then howcome we accepted outside influence? Answer: We are not really Muslims, we say we believe in one Allah but we actually bow (not physically) to power, authority and money. Satan will always be there to divert us from our path, when we are weak we will follow him.
“Servant”? That is long forgotten concept. All these senators, MNAs, MPAs are supposed to be “servants” of public but reality is that we are all hungry of money, power with no responsibility/accountability, so are these people and hence eat our resources when they can.
The good direction of Pakistani society has to start from people like you, me, our friends, family member and all “public” in general… once that happens, you will automatically see a good president/prime minister of Pakistan.

Right! I forgot to say this unfortunately and I apologize for this. We are allowed to steal things when we are lack of them like food and money. But generally, we should have punishment for that. Some people have the habit of stealing things. I tell you this event that happened to us in Pakistan. We were traveling somewhere through a car. There were two men in the motorcycle right near to us. One person behind grab his hand to our front window and stole my mom's purse. That looked kind of funny to me, the way how they did. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful to get them as they were in motorcycle. That should be punished badly.
We are actually not in that situation where everyone can do the right thing. Like some people mix things in a product like putting water into a milk. They have to. Otherwise, they cannot make more profit that they are not able to efford enough things at home. Although, it is obviously a sin to mix things in a product. If those Pakistani people are in Canada, then do we think they will do it? Never.

Its because those 2 guys knew that they will not be caught (atleast by police for judicial purposes), and even if they were got caught they knew that they can bribe police/judge for few bucks and get away with the crime. Everything comes down to check and balance/judicial system/honesty. If you can't provide that then you can't progress much.

I hope you are living abroad from Pakistan as well. I have no idea where to live in the future in Pakistan or in Canada? Pakistan is developing with slow rate. If people in Pakistan starts working hard, then we can be a rich country in 50 years InshaAllah. As I see the hardest working country is China. China has improved rapidly and is the most leading country ever compared to all countries. There are many products that come from China. For example, all Dollaramas have basically the products from China. In most of the things, you will see it labelled as "Made in China". In here, you will find Pakistani gangs, Indian gangs, Black gangs and Afghani gangs, but you will not find any Chineese gang.
Major of Chineese people study almost all the time. They study while eating. Well, I think the life should be balanced with everything studying, eating and playing physical activities. If you study all the time, you might get glasses and you can have poor health. Therefore, the life should be balanced.

I see some flaw in your thinking, may be I am wrong. People want to be rich, there is nothing wrong with that, but when a big chunk stops differentiating between good money and bad money then it results in a society like Nigeria, Bengladesh, Pakistan, India etc.... greed takes over content, people resort to illegal means many a time. We should reach for both, contentment and wealth, work hard and be happy with whatever reward you get.

Incorrect, there are evils in all societies/ethnicities/races , Chinese are no exceptions, I am sure if you go to LA or Chicago or NY you will find them.

A good person has nothing to do with his/her religion/race/culture. Anyone can be a good person. You are right and offcourse I am not talking about all. When I meant by Chineese people, I wasn't talking about all of them. I was talking about majority of them. I do not know if they have a big mission to lead. I cannot wonder how each Chineese person works harder. I never seen them as being gangsters. In fact, there are evils of every cultures. In China, there are. But I do not see them yet, but I believe there might be. Again I am telling my own opinion that I see with my own eyes. By the way, are we the only to participate in this thread?

The reason why you don’t see so much is because these are only recently expanding their efforts out of China and becoming active in the chinese diaspora around the world.
