Scholars like? What exactly have they screwed up? That the women are there to comfort men in the first place and to make their homes pleasant? Such scholrs derive their wisdom from none other but divine sources. Anyone who refutes this should have tens of doctorate degrees to qualify to be heard.

Its not the only purpose of women. Nor is it exclusively one that belongs to women.
Men play a big part in making the home pleasant and also in comforting their wives. Try doing that with your own wife for like one week, just for farts and giggles. Then see what effect it has on your home environment.

skhan, some scholars claim that if a mandate is given to men, by symmetry, it also applies to women. But scholars also are picky and choosy about which ayahs to apply that approach to.

pcg, let me explain something to you. while marrying a white boy might be a ‘step up’ for you. marrying a ‘white girl’ is considered a step down for us. but, whatever sails your boat. im sure white boys in kansas are dying to talk to gals with attitude problems… oh wait they are just after tapping what they consider is an ‘ethnic’ babe. when the physical attraction wears off so will the marriage.
