Re: Pakistani girl world's youngest MCP qualified! :)

I am sorry but in Pakistan - we have made a mockery of these online certifications .... any ratoo totaa without any hand on experience regarding development can get it down with the help of brain dumps and other tutoring material easily available ....

Good luck to the little girl - I hope she actually knows how to use MVS and other products for developing ASP.NET applications...

Re: Pakistani girl world's youngest MCP qualified! :)

These certs are a joke. There are are "braindumps" where you can find pool of qs that will be tested and you can just memorize.

Re: Pakistani girl world's youngest MCP qualified! :)

Means nothing if she doesn't understand it, and has no hands on experience. Although, unlike the Server and application Microsoft exams, you can't really rattafy the programming exams.

Re: Pakistani girl world’s youngest MCP qualified!

Let’s not “judge” these kids - some of them are actually working alongside other professionals on various projects. Besides, having worked in IT, I know plenty of so-called certified professionals who only have credentials without work experience and they learn the practical aspects later on in their jobs etc. - nothing wrong with it per say…

I dunno specifically about this girl, but the Pakistani kid who was the youngest MCP/MCTS back in 2009 (got his certs between ages 9 to 12) had his hands full at the age of 12 with projects ranging from teaching coding to University students, and working on the development of XBox and Microsoft’s Touchscreen platforms. Lesson to learn: Teach your children languages when they are young .... this goes for all languages - programming included.

Another lesson to learn:
Unlike a conversational language , programming language can go obsolete by the time they are employable.
