Re: Pakistani Films

well they are getting much better than what they used to be and they are imitating bollywood whome is imitating hollywood which has a lot immoral scenes in them but pakistan will catch up say in 8 years. technology and modernisation allways expanding. some very pretty actresses in pk films though. i watched a excellent pk movie a few years ago cause i rarely have time to do so KOHEY HO TUM KAHAN i tHought this movie was top. can anyone suggest some more recent titles?

Re: Pakistani Films

Pakistani film industry sort of died - somewhere in the late 70s.
The last truly GREAT movie I can remember is AAINA - *ing Shabnam and Nadeem

It has been kept alive.. but the efforts dont seem to work.
The 60s and 70s were the PRIME time of Pakistani film industry, with great names, both in the acting and also in the production / direction departments. The music was great too, excellent lyrics and truly melodious compositions.

Now its either a stupid copying attempt at a Bolly or Hollywood movie , or just a crude attempt at making a movie, just for enjoyment.....

We lack originality, are at least 25 years behind in technology. The talent pool is still there.. but we lack the genius who could tap into this talent pool and create a good movie. The only name that comes to mind is Shoaib Mansoor, but he is not sort of a REGULAR movie producer, although he has done great stuff on TV.

Its with a feeling of absolute nostalgia when I look back at the names of Waheed Murad, Nadeem, Mohammad Ali, Munawar Zareef, Rani, Shabnam, Nisar Bazmi, Sohail Rana, Robin Ghosh, Mehdi Hasan, Noor Jahan, Mala, Ahmed Rushdi.... and a whole lot of other superbly talented persons. The real thing was that these people were able to work as a super team and had ORIGINAL ideas to work with. The great pool of producers , and music directors made it happen.

In the present days the talent is surely out there... but we somehow lack the ability to tap it properly.

Re: Pakistani Films

but reemas koi tujh sa kahan is really good

Re: Pakistani Films

I WONDER WAT DIS LADY "SAIMA" IS UP TO !
I MEAN C`MON I WATCHED ONLY SOME HALF MOVIES OF HER N I THOUGHT SHES REALLY UNEDUCATED.....
ITS VERY EMBARASSIN 2 WATCH PAKI MOVIES WID FAM (I DNT KNOW Y) BUT IT IS.......
BUT I HEARD REEMAS KOI TUJH SA KAHA IS A GOOD ONE..... N SHE GOT MUCH BETTER...

Re: Pakistani Films

hi all.
i watch pakistani movies but only those which are worht watching. lol and they are like one in 100.but in recent years some good movies have been made like salakhain, ydakh, majajan, ktsk, khtk, and laaj was ok. i think we are improving but still lack maturity. we should make movies on original location not on shabby sets and if we have to use sets they should be like real. but i think it will take time. but hope for the best,

Re: Pakistani Films

yeh i watched reemas koi tujh sa kahan and its really good.

Re: Pakistani Films

I don’t watch pakistani movies, even i dont watch indian movies.becoz pakistani copy indian films and indian copy Hollywood films.:o

Re: Pakistani Films
