I believe the dramas might actually be in a better condition or situation then films because these “should” be in the PTV archives. Having said that BBC used to air subtitled version of Pakistani dramas but they are impossible to find. Having those prints could really help promote Pakistani drama IMO.
I think local distributors (Film and TV) have been utilising foreign productions as a tax loophole. When a cinema house can buy a relatively cheap product from abroad why would they wish to buy local produce which would be dearer. BTW does anyone have any ideas about where to start or any suggestions regarding my query?
