I have zero news for anything lined up for release in 2009…I’m hoping someone here has some news for a good project lined up to be released this year…
Good God, how difficult is it to make movies??? We make enough dramas to last us a lifetime, but we can’t make a friggin’ substantial movie to start off 2009?

The only director is Syed Noor.. the rest are :S and the bouquet of actors/actresses we have is really limited as well..

The only reason why Pakistani films, the kind we want to see, aren't made is because of just ONE factor: A complete, utter lack of film investors. Trust me, Jami, Ahsan Rahim, Sameena Peerzada, Usman Peerzada and ofcourse Saqib Malik, all have scripts ready but they haven't made films till now because of lack of financiers.
We really, really need progressive film financiers who're willing to take the risk.
Having said that, there was only one notable film out in 2009 and that was Shaan's Zilleshah which I hear has done some fairly decent business. It looked great but made for some pretty traditional/regressive cinema.

Saqib Malik was Already making a movie, with Ali Zafar as a Hero in it. But the Financier stop the movie, Dunno WHY? Malaysia mein kuch scenes shot huay thay, bad ki story pata nahi :(
