As far as karhai is concerned, nowadays gota and moti and cut-dana is really in... theres no limitation on the length of the shirt: everyone wears it to their tastes.

just recently visited pakistan...
what i noticed was that different kinds of material r merged in a dress..like jamawar pants..shifon shirt and diff material dupatta..etc.

shells and beads can b seen on shirts
lil small hanging circles r stiched on the ends of dupattas

Is it worth getting kapra from fabric stores in America??? Such as Jo Anne Fabrics and getting shalwar kameez's made in PK? Or is it better to shop there all the way?

short shirts with ankle length capri-style pants and if u are more daring, short shirts with calf length capris are in fashion. the cuffs of the capris have kaam done on them if its a fancy dress, or light embroidery if its regular wear.

really? i was in karachi 4 yrs ago and i never saw a single girl wear this. I saw many girls wearing capris this yr and its more common in boutiques like cynosure to be selling clothes with capri style shalwars now (never saw them before)
as for the average crowd…they’re as usual only wearing regular shalwar kamiz with the length of the kamiz moving a few inches up or down or shalwar flaring outwards or inwards for the past fifty yrs. that hasnt changed much.

I don’t think so. Seems like everything and more is available there. Sometimes stuff from Dubai is well-priced and unique, but stuff from America isn’t worth the trouble.
