Thanks. Durr-e-Shewaar promo is nice and interesting.
Will check out the longer ones later. :)
Mekaal from D-e-S acted in a lesser known Indian movie 2-3 years ago.
Movie didn't do well but he got good critical review.
Even though there are folks on this forum who don't think he is a good actor.
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
I have an unfortunate thought.
What will happen if all of a sudden the political relations between the countries, God forbid, take a turn for bad ?
How will that impact this channel ? ![]()

Meekal is far better actor than Fawad Khan. He's far more versatile.

Ok no problem. Check when you can. Meekal looks like rajesh khanna in aradhana. It would be interesting to know what that indian pic is. He sounds like a goo actor from the promo. I'll have a look on yt.

Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
I’m not trying to think too negative. I think it would have to be a big massive event to stop the channel running. If security is good in both countries such events should not happen. Not the usual border firing which also happened last year.
Kiron Kher an mp of the ruling party is narrating prologue in 1 story and doing promos. So she will be supportive of the channel. After the Pakistani pm coming to India the views have been positive either end. Indian channels overseas like colors also show pakistani dramas
I think art shouldn’t be affected by all this.
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
Just fyi, channels like Zee were showing Pakistani plays in their overseas feed years ago.

haan haan true. Also colors channel is showing pakistani dramas as well. You can also get pakistani channels with indian channels as part of some packages. So most of the pakistani dramas we watch on original channel.
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
Pakistani shows have a finite length. They could move on to turkish/Bangladeshi shows after they finish. Their original media report mentions countries other than pakistan so it’s not even unexpected. I’m sure some dubbing of programs is in progress.
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
Acha nice :) Agli baar aana zaroor batana as im from delhi and probably will move back one day. I agree a bus trip would be so much more fascinating. I had a feeling it would be similar. What non Mughal architecture did you see? Did you see Jantar Mantar- with the astronomical architecture of old? Ah i see. I've heard good things about Muree. Monkeys are big in agra as well. Peacock is national bird of India and is found in various places down south, in gujurat etc. Watching the peackock dance is a sight to see.
Next time also go to Rajasthan and see the palaces there..also go to pink city Jaipur.
Im fascinated by many things in Pakistan..and as for the saying ghar ki murgi daal barabar..there is another one i recall dur ke dhol suhaane lagate hain
On culture forum there is a thread on Pakistanis visiting India. Would be great to hear your views :)
I did the golden triangle tour so visited jaipur as well. I think if I make a trip again then I'll go down south. My grandmother has been telling tales of some interesting places she visited when she was young including ellora ajanta.

True. they have also purchased quite a few Pakistani shows so I am sure they will look at how they go. Then I think there was also talk of doing tele-movies and co-tv productions with Pakistani and Indian stars. At the moment the focus is on Pakistan and depending on how shows go they will make decisions. It is for shows from other countries so popular shows like the turkish ones on Pakistani channels may also be shown.

That's great. So you must have seen Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Jaipur has some nice forts-like Amer fort, hawa mahal, jal mahal. Jal Mahal is also known as lake palace and ive heard it's quite awesome. Never got chance to visit. My mother studied there and had some friends whose families worked there and she says its quite nice.
I've heard of ellora ajanta in MUmbai. Think it's worth visiting. My parents went to Haji Ali dargah last yr and said it was good if you're interested in that.
Also visit goa and down south-the backwaters of kerala are nice, there are also some nice historical monuments like tipu sultan palace in bangalore, also there are some waterfalls, hill stations and also the steepest train ride in Asia is in Tamil nadu. I've been south once and it's a completely different world...at times i felt like it was a whole different place to north. They won't be able to differentiate for sure. It's probably safer and more secure than north also. Also great diversity of food including all meats like beef also. You'll like Mumbai it's very cosmopolitan.
Did you get a chance to see any of the Mosques in the north like in delhi and agra? There are some classical and historic Mosques there like Jamia Masjid.
@Southie would know more about must see places in South
There's also an India pics thread with little known places mentioned by locals.
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
Colors has shown one drama I think but rishtey (their sister channel) has telecasted many like mera naseeb, humsafar, mere qatil mere dildar and maat. Lamhe (zee's) is showing aun zaara at the moment. Bilkis Kaur, will be a good one for Indian audiences on Zindagi tv.
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
I found the thread. I hope you will like it. It seems like its been running for a few yrs.

I’ve been checking out the Pakistan thread as well. Lot of awesome pictures of swat valley, murree, karakoram highway and Gilgit area. Have you been to swat valley and those other places? I think you mentioned Murree.
Also definitely visit Nepal. It’s absolutely beautiful place.

I should make a thread for Nepal with pics ![]()

I'm liking the turn of this thread. I hope Zee zindagi show some documentaries of Pakistan as well. You should post some pics of those places if you've been :) Would be great to see. They sound amazing. Imagine living there. It would be super heavenly. If only i was a white person, a sri lankan or a Nepali it would be easier to visit all the amazing places of the subcontinent.:)
Re: Pakistani dramas get massive response on new Indian channel Zindagi
