You are watching a drama serial and all of a sudden in one episode you see new faces in drama. Sometime they even change the person playing lead role. Aab aap sar paker ker baithey heen k yee bhai sahaab kaun heen tu pata chalta hai bhai yee wo hee hero hai bus banda badal gaya!!!
One more thing happening quite frequently is that they suddenly send any character (normally amma or abba of hero/heroien) to USA or CANADA for “ILLAJ” (medical treatment) and he/she never comes back.
It used to happed once in a while before but now a days its happening quite frequently on all 3 channels (Prime, Geo and Ary). I normally loose interest in the serial after such transaction What happen with you guys? Can you guys stand this?
Yee sara masla uss waqat khara hota hai jub kisee drama kee success ko diakhtey howey director/write try to prolong it and as a result they cant continue with the same team due to
Re: Pakistani Dramas and Change of Actors/Actresses
^ really? I haven't seen any such dramas but then again, I watch about 2 or 3 a year only aur woh bhi toote phoote... but it must be pretty annoying indeed!
I jsut don't even like the fact that our dramas have moved from 13 episode format to the perpetually and forever long sitcom/soap format anyways...
the longer format would work only when our actors/actresses start getting paid incerementally higher like their foreign counterparts and won't have to work on multiple projects simulateously.
Re: Pakistani Dramas and Change of Actors/Actresses
This is a fairly common occurance for long running plays/soaps etc. A long time ago, when my sister used to watch “The Bold and the Beautiful” on Star Plus, she’d also mention that actors playing the characters changed quite a few times. If you like the play, you’d just get used to it, and enjoy the play. I guess it can be distracting… but you know, what the heck.
Re: Pakistani Dramas and Change of Actors/Actresses
Yeah I know…it’s so annoying!
esp. nowadays in Jo Baat Ghar Mein Hai..since Aijazz Aslam and Bader Khalil are replaced the drama looks so senseless and vague… and they keep introducing 2-3 characters to the play everyday in each episode and that makes it very very boring and complicated…!
Re: Pakistani Dramas and Change of Actors/Actresses
For ilaaj?
Bhai ji, according to the new trend, whenever someone gets dumped or things don't go right, they move abroad and never return.
Forget changing actors during dramas, what annoying me the most these days is all the model -cum-actresses look very much alike and I keep getting confused about their roles. I find it very annoying.
I miss the good old days when dramas used to cast proper actors and actresses and not random models who do not even know the ABC of acting.
Re: Pakistani Dramas and Change of Actors/Actresses
tell me about it! I so cannot tell the actresses apart in that fiasco safaid posh. Why do these ppl want to settle for looking like a carbon copy of eachother.
