Re: pakistani diet mean plans
Have you tried portion controlling? A lot of the desi dishes do rely on carbs and fats, unless you BBQ/bake the meats. If you eat less of everything, it should work out to be within your daily calorie range that is needed to help you lose weight. So if you’re eating 1 roti every meal, start with cutting it down to 3/4 of a roti, with less of salan that you normally eat. This way you’re not depriving yourself of food and then end up falling off the track and just going back. Another thing, avoid desserts, desi or non-desi like crazy, unless you’re getting to that 1 cheat meal of the week. Then go crazy
Also eat more protein than carbs, since proteins keep you full longer. But don’t cut out carbs all together either (rice, daal, roti, channay) because your body needs them to make the energy it needs. Eat more meat than you normally would in a meal to make up for the loss in roti.
Sure did. That was the first thing I did. I would usually eat 3 rotis (chapatis) at dinner. Cut it down to 1 and I was hungry as hell. My wife has now cut all rotis and rice out of my meal. (She had a dream where I was handicapped because of my fatness) So, we are making another go at diets for now.
