hello ladies!
i need your help ASAP - my bro’s engagement has been set for this Wed (i know, crazy last minute rush going on, long story), and anyway, i need a nice outfit. i know long kameezes are in fashion, but i can’t seem to find anyone who sells newer styled clothes. any suggestions of stores or home-based designers would be most welcome!!

the only thing i can think of in GTA is to go to airport road and check out the stores there. most of them are indian stores sadly but you might find SOMETHING u like.... :(
or go to NY if you can.
check with urban design concepts as well.

I don't know how fancy you want to be but Jamayz in Missisauga had expensive yet very simple and trendy clothes...they just have trendy cuts and styles with not too much work done on it.
alternatively, a lot of shops these days carry the anarkali style which is really in or u could wear a beautiful sari :)

Go to Bombay Trenz in Mississauga, really nice high-end designer Indian clothes that can easily pass for Pakistani ... just do NOT use their tailor, no matter what.
My parents got me 4 outfits (shalwar kameez) plus 3 sarees from there ... really stunning stuff. Check it out. She has her boutique in the basement of her house.

You'll have a lot of difficulty finding trendy readymade Pakistani outfits on such short notice. How about a saree instead? There are tons of Indian boutiques with really nice saree selections.

sehrysh, i have plenty of sari’s but it might be a bit OTT for the occasion, i’m thinking.
the main issue is finding lambi kameezain which are not “in” for indian fashion. and i’ve noticed short kameezain just look weird now when everyone’s wearing long.

Oriental costumes have their new shipment arrived and I saw some nice outfits there with long khameezes.
They do not have everything displayed out yet and they told me they will this week sometimes on Tuesday or Wenesday.

Saba Apparel had pretty good stuff. I got a few outfits from there. They had it set up really nicely in their basement at that time. I'm not sure if they have a proper boutique now. Oriental Costume and Sonia's Collection also carry a good collection of Pakistani outfits. All are in Mississauga.

Congrats SGC!! Goodluck finding something - I bought an outfit for a mehndi from Amira's Clothing on Ridgeway Drive in Sauga' - its near Oriental Costumes so maybe u can check them out tooo.. the kaam was really nice and the prices were pretty decent too i bargained the price down to 175 from 250 - so theyre pretty awesome with that too -

I bought one outfit from a place called Punjab Fashions in Mississauga....sorry i dnot remember the street/road ;( but i thot the stuff was nice and reasonable prices..i got a pretty heavy suit and a set and churiyan for $150

the lady at oriental costumes is really nice but her clothes are quite expensive
make sure u call to make an appointment since it's a home-based business as well
