Well me too from Faisalabad and i want to add something in it.
GuttWalaPark is an other worth visiting place i think u missed it RT anyways thanks for sharing this much info of FSD.
Faisalabad rocks! i have cousins who live there. I have alot of fun hanging out with them in the city. It has a variety of places you can relax and enjoy yourself.
After partition, my dada and dadi families were concentrated around the area of Faisalabad. Later, most of (not all) of my family migrated down to Sindh.

halwa puri from katchery bazar,i had this halwa puri last weekend when i was in faisalabad.
nd what else, ras malai , falooda these r all specialities of my city..

FSBD - mansoorabad - i love my city. i was born there and was there for a few years.
unfortunately, i don’t remember much from there except the clock tower. thanks for the pics RT.

Been many times - D Ground is the place to buy decent food and some half decent western clothes.
A good place to pick up Ralph Lauren Polo and Armani shirts and caps - not the genuine article but damn fine copies at next to nothing!
Nearby you have SINDBAD - Faisalabads answer to Alton Towers (not quite!) - on eid it is insane. The usual American places are close by(KFC/McD's/Pizza Hut) which I would steer well clear of!
If you are male, D Ground is THE place to go cruisin on your motorbike. If you are female, watch out!
If you are from the UK/US, probably one of the few places in FSBD that you are guaranteed to hear an english/american accent!

I guess that would apply to all open bazaars across the country.....
....I heard they'v recently made major changes to D ground....hope this development brings out its best...
Sindbad is really popular with Faisalabadis. They love it. For those who dont know it, it is FSBDs attempt to create an indoor/outdoor theme park a bit like superbowl inside ie dogem cars, loads of aracde games etc and rides o/side.
The catch is you can only get in with a family - no males, lone or with a group are allowed to get in. You get hoards of em hanging around outside begging families to allow them to join their group to get in.
The 'security' respond with baton attacks on any unwelcome males - we are talking serious beatings!

Good Place to Visist... well as its Business place so its crowdy and main bisiness area is very messy..
The gr8 thing abt Faisalabad is COTTON .... wow.. its gr8 quality and Price wise.
If you have a chance ot visit the Cotton Manufacturing factories.. and if you have some idea how cotton should be... U will be astonished... to know faisalababd is producing such a cotton.
BUT.... You will not that cotton in local market, the COTTON factories and The COTTON GARMENTS munufacture the stuff only for Export and they dont give the stuff to Local market.
I have some of those items ;) I am using those for Years and unahiN kuch hota hi naheeN :D
wot a gr8 city, a very nice city to visit, exporting its textile product every where in the world specially its cotton products.KFC,Sindbad ,sarena are also some of the famous places.
most important thing are people of FSD, they are very nice.
RT how are u feeling in Faisalabad ??????

Well............. At least Faisalabad gets its 1st flight to europe. Direct flights from Faisalabad to be started on 16th. November for Glasgow,Scottland.This will be via Dubai. Congrats...........
