Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

I have been long a prescriber to libertarian school of thought specifically the classical liberalism espoused by America’s founding fathers.

Vote Ron Paul. Please feel free to add comments.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Those are exactly the reasons why he wont get elected, and even if he does, he will end up like JFK.

America was a great country that has been raped by special interest.

"Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you, Buddy? The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth." Wall Street (1987).

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Strange parable with Imran Khan isn't it?

But I do disagree with a few things that you said.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Ron Paul...Are you joking? Its best Pakistanies participate on both sides of the isle and with popular candidates like most other smarter communities do in US.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

I was reading some of hic policies, and I for one think they were pretty impressive.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

while he might be a bit to cranky and rough round the edges to have a chance of getting nominated, i think the philosophy he espouses would work so great in Pakistan. the government doesnt do anything anyway, might as well get rid of useless departments and ministries wholesale, make govt really small and focused towards providing civil justice and border protection, and in the process disincentivize the corrupt politicians and political families from gaining very much money.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Ron Paul is a great candidate, but I doubt he will ever get a party ticket to run...

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Sounds great, but who will listen...

I think many people on Gupshup have some great ideas, but not a single one of them will ever be implimented unfortunately.. A cry in the dark:(

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

George Bush used to say the same stuff back in 2000, entire world loved him for his foreign policies. Paul is much educated in the sense of constitution and knowledge of the world, but he has yet to face the special interest of Washington. Bush changed entirely after becoming the President, his father also tried to end the special interests, but could not do it. They are way too powerful. Even if Ron Paul becomes the President of the United States, which seems likely with the amount of cash and nationawide support he is getting, I doubt he will be able to change Washington in a year, first or second term.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Bush never said that. IN any event, he was just a Manchurian candidate, not an intellectual giant like Senator/Physician Ron Paul M.D.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Ron Paul belongs to Republican party and he himself has said that he is running on Bush's 2000 foreign policy campaign. He was a big fan of it. Nothing new about what Paul is saying, many Americans believe in small government, no IRS and staying away from world politics. Geroge Bush senior and Regan were the same, Bush senior even tried to fight the few in the Washington over their influence, but lost in a big way. This Bush also gave into the same people, I doubt Paul can change the country's policy like that, I don't question his will, but it is difficult.

Just look at facts, America has the biggest embassy in Iraq, their military bases are ever growing and the money they have allocated means that the troops are good to go for atleast 10 years. Don't see him pulling out in a year.

Positive thing is that Ron Paul has made money and is winning online polls. Let him show some strength in primaries and win some endorsments from papers than we can talk about Ron Paul the President.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Well most Pakistanis in th US have traditionally voted for the republican party. And 2000 Bush was no exception. I don;t know where Ron Paul has praised Bush. There has been only a mere dime of a difference between the democrats and republicans especially since the neo conservatives who are actually socialists took over the party.

Ron Paul has a track record and a blunt objective of instead of taking a dagger to the problems he takes a machete. No other candidate both republican or democrat has as radically versatile ideas as his. He stands true and sincere. And his voting record as well as professional career as a politician proves it.

He is the Best choice for Americans, and indirectly the world. Especially this part of the world.

Re: Pakistani American Voters…vote for Ron Paul

Ron Paul in presidential Debate:

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Smarter communities have a goal and they vote for that guy! Look at the example of American Jews!

At least in 2004, due to bush's policies, i think majority of Pakistanis voted democrat! In 2000, the vote was evenly split and it doesn't do any good.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

Talking about making comparisons then Immi sahab is a very emotional nut unlike the mature Ron Paul. Benazir was phat phat too but i guess that is Pakistan..

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

I think Imran Khan has really matured as a politician over these years. He is the only one who maintains his charisma, his calm even when bombarded with sometimes seemingly aberrant questions. He handles himself pretty well, especially in foreign media. But you're right, emotional bravura seems a very much a characteristics of Pak politics. The biggest, most flamboyant of all emotional displays by non other than the one-call-troll dictator himself. Outright a drama queen. No wonder Nawaz picked him as a stooge.

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul

^ What about your own BB? Militants weren't even taking a panga with her [all focused on Mush] but she had to jump in and be their enemy and LO AND BEHOLD!

Re: Pakistani American Voters…vote for Ron Paul

Re: Pakistani American Voters...vote for Ron Paul
