i was wondering that how come they never call actresses by their full names???
Reema is only called Reema, we don’t know her last name :s and it’s not only her I think it’s all of them..how come?
But if you see a Pakistani drama the actresses working there do have last names and people do call them by their full names.

well i dont think most film actresses hve a last name or a family name, fine im not makin sense!
The family is too ashamed to be related with them...
They are told to change their names when entering the field. they're told that if they keep their real muslim name, they probably will not attain star status.
Reema, Meera, Nirma...a lot of them changed their names.

What about Zara Sheikh? she's known by her full name. Then Atiqa Odho and Zaiba Bakhtiar r 2 others who I can think of at this moment who did films and were known by their full names.

Zara Sheikh was model.
Atiqa Odho was also Drama Actress and
Zaiba Bakhtiar is a famous person she is a daughter of Yahya Bakhtiar.
so they also know as their full name before coming in Film.
i think actress are changed their names because of some reasons:
some change their name by their Astro. Stars.
some impressed any one and keep her name.
and some other reasons
Pakistani Actresses (lollywood) have no shame, Drama Actresses i think have much more izzat and talent then them.
Right, its not a hard fast rule. Some of them who come in to try their hand at movies who are already established as models or tv actresses, don't need to do that. They have dignity.
But a lot of the girls that come into the field are uneducated and when someone tells them to take on a hindu name, they listen. These guys have grown up with Madhuri's Karishma's etc, so it seems like a reasonable decision.
These girls are not professional about their career and the ones that try to be, well, they don't have enough knowledge about art and movie-making to BE professional.

pakistani drama actresses are shameless just like indian film actressses. lollywood film actresses have way more shame than drama actresses who are usually models.
what u see on ur screen is not how they really are.
^once again PakCanada hits the nail on the head. I have lost respect for lots of drama actresses (though I do like how they show off their skin) and Amina Haq leads the list.
