What should be the PAK ODI and test team for the upcoming series against SA (if it does go on) or for any other upcomming series:

Its extremely sad to see Imran Nazir not even being in the team and Faisal being selected again. Imran has looked good in the few recent chances which PCB has given him..he has certainly played a lot better than Hafeez or Taufeeq in ODI's. But I guess we should get used to this kind of waste of talent...aakhir its the PCB we're talking about.

umm i slightly disagree yasir. Since his recall to pakistani team in England, he has been dismissed playing pull shot 3 times out of four matches he played!! and his scores arent flattening either !!

he got a chance in this series and he got out the same way again! there r alot of talented players around apart from him. he's consistently done the things that he's not supposed 2do.
faisal needs a couple big innings and he'll get the feel of international cricket. he's technically sound and i reckon he's destined 2be atleast a regular in paki bating lineup for the next few yrs. lets wait n see if that actually happens!

he got a chance in this series and he got out the same way again! there r alot of talented players around apart from him. he's consistently done the things that he's not supposed 2do.

Saby Baji how dare you disagree with me :p jus kiddin...
About Imran Nazir...I think he would be a better option than Hafeez to open the innings as I have serious doubts about Hafeez able to play big innings against quality bowling attacks. I mean just look at his scores against the 5 ODI's he played against Bangaldesh...his highest score was 44. He's becoming more and more like Afridi. Great fielder (although he drops easy catches sometimes), Average Batsmen who averages 22-23 in ODI's, and chips in with a few wickets here and their...
I guess the best thing is to wait and see how Hafeez bats against the SA bowling attack...that will give us a better idea of how he is as an opener against quality oppositions.
I agree, Nazir is not performing that well, I mean just look at the shot he played in the 4th ODI against Bangladesh. But that said, Nazir is full of talent and deserves a consistant run in the pakistani team. I am sure he will earn his lesson and become a good reliable opener.
