yes…the parents are a girl’s wali [guardian]. their permission isNOT absolute but necessary and that’s why the civil/court marriages in Pakistan are recognized. no matter what, individuals/mob have no right to kill/lynch a person…it’s against Islam, against pakistani laws and against humanity. PERIOD!
