Pakistan Vs. Western Australian 2nd XI

My apologies it was 273 instead of 263....

Guys if you have full score card please post it. Thanks

Pakistan regained some pride by winning the 40-over practice match easily. Abdul Razzaq clubbed 74 from 54 balls, with eight fours and three sixes, while Shahid Afridi chipped in with 34 from 25 balls as the Pakistanis reached 8 for 273. WA's 2nd XI managed only 147 in reply.

How on earth they cannot chase 93 and then end up doing on same wicket: 263...

Sorry i cant make you understand how as I dont have the recording of the match :)

Logic to do this is quite easy and totally based on an Indian song from movie "Mein Nai Piar Kia" and song was

aaja shaaam honey aee
mausam nai lee angriee
tu kis baat kee hai lariee
TU CHAAAL, MEEN AYEEE
MAKE IT FAST YAAR
TU CHAAAL, MEEN AYEEE

haha ^^ :rotfl:

83 all out against WA 2nd XI only reminds me of scores 52, 56 (?) by our team against Australia in SL and Sharjah :bummer: I’m sure that won’t happen again but still doesn’t look good at all for now. :crying:

We should have had some solid mature players in the team, like Saleem Elahi, Misb. Haq etc.. you know, the type that can think and adapt to the change. on the other hand, you never know, these young boys might fire when its show time (hopefully)

I repeat again! :smokin:

Meri dua aap kay saath hai. I just dont want you to be heart broken when this does not happen. Allah aap ko sabar day.
But i have a feeling that after this beating we got, we might end up learning something from it and doing good atleast in the first test.

oho fikar not yaar, aithay sabar hee sabar :D

nothing unexpected in the result..happens to every single team visiting australia from the sub-continent..we are just not used to the pitches like this...at the same time our players have a mental block which prevents them from clearing their thoughts...Senior players have a important role to play..

One interesting point I would like to make and that is you can't just win with your bowlers firing on all cylinders. Playing australia in australis, the whole team has to perform. period. Batsmen have to make big score so that bowlers can defend that score, because australia is going to come back hard.

Won't know anything till the first test match starts...at the same time, the confidence of players is surely gonna go down after they lost the opener to players who don't even figure in the state XI..lets wait and see..

laterz.

You are right. Actually I heard that Miandad used to coach the batsmen on cemented pitches. Not that I think he should come back, but we should pay more attention to being able to play on quick pitches too.
Another alternative can be that all the Asian countries can deny playing in Australia claiming that its not good for their confidence and have then come here to play. :D

phir konsa itna teer maar lena hay Asian teams ne?

u see that's wht I wanted to say also but didni't knew if it would go well with everyone...cement and high performance green mats are the kinda pitches our players should use to practise before embarking on australian tour.

I still remember, last year before the australian tour, john wright made all the indian batters to practice with a wet tennis ball on polished cement pitches...can't say if that was the only thing attached to the success, but looking at their batting I think it helped..

As for cement pitches and wet tennis + jali huwi (they burn the ball = tennis ball) and tape half side, they ( Pakistan/ India) use all the techniques before embarking on a tour such as this one ahead of Auzzies, difference is they dont apply it well coz of mental strenght, which will be always the case.

i'm sorry but that was a disgraceful performance from a international side, now this painful blow will really help our preparations for the hell in a cell against the lean mean fat grilling machine the aussies
