Re: Pakistan vs West Indies - March 13 Sabina Park, Jamaica
Agreed (and I am not basing my judgement on the result of today's match). I have said many times on KK that IMO, Miandad was a superior batsman than both Inzi and Yousuf and **most definitely a better finisher in ODIs **than those two. Inzi has done nothing of note in the three world cups since 1992 (ok he did score 50s in group matches against Australia and NZ in 1999 but did n't do much from super-six onwards)
Definetely no winning innings in the World Cup since 1992.......
Re: Pakistan vs West Indies - March 13 Sabina Park, Jamaica
This is not '92 anymore. Back then we had Imran Khan leading us, a pure cricketing genius. Today we have Inzamam, a poor motivator and tactician.
Furthermore in ‘92 there was no shortage of talent - we had a world class opener in Ramiz Raja backed up by Sohail. Wasm Akram, Aqib Javed and Mushtaq Ahmed spearheading our bowling attack and Moin Khan at the stumps. Remember his death-defying six against NZ? Todays’ team unfortunately cannot match that quality

Dunya ko hai Dikhana
Hum say hai ye zamanaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Pakistan ALL THE WAY.
JEETAY GA BAI JEETAY GA
PAKISTAN HAR BAAR JEETAY GA
Cheetay, bara spirit dikha raha hai. According to schedules, Pakistan faces New Zealand and South Africa first in super 8's. Saara zor nikal jaana hai.
Re: Pakistan vs West Indies - March 13 Sabina Park, Jamaica
That's not strictly true. Even if (that's a big if though) we win 4 of our 6 super-eight games, we would be in contention for a semis place. If we win three it still might come down to the net run-rate. So you can see why winning against not a strong team like WI was so important. It would have made our job than much easier in the next round.
Three games won't be enogh. At least four must be won. Australia will be one loss (I'd lova an upset but come on). Sl, England and NZ are definitely beatable. Out of India and SA, I think on these pitches and with our bowling Inida is the biiger threat.
It's a long road but not an impossible one. Problem is not lack of firepower (except in bowling) it is lack of consistency and, most of all, poor team selection.
