although i feel sorry for malik but guys i don't think it was a bad move to send him as an opener. Malik is a talaneted player but there is no way he can make his way in the playing 11 specially in presnece of the all the middle order payers we usually have. In the near future only possibility for him to get in this side is to play as an opener. I guess they wanted to try that option.

Like I’ve said earlier, Malik should only bat when we’re playing a match where the pitches are flat. Any movement off the seam and he becomes lead footed.

As per cricinfo there is a strong breeze in Barbados this morning. Why Inzi selected to bat then? The bowlers are taking full advantage of it. Even Inzi is edging the ball

I think Inzi took a bold step by batting first. As to my understanding he wants to put up big score and make the WI under preasure (atleast he is back and he can do that). He is either over confident or he really feels that his boys can put up a big score but than looking at the opening pair I feel sorry for Inzi. Yasir can never learn from his mistakes so he should be kicked out and I wonder why they decided to open with Malik.
Anyway I think Inzi is going to put up a big score to preasurise the WI and attack with the ball which I think is much better than bowling first and trying to trail by 400+ runs. So I'd say its a good move by Inzi.

I guess mainly due to the fact that they don’t want to bat in the final innings. Also they would try to go for big first innings total to put pressure on WI. But i hope they can survive these couple of hours.

It iwll be too hard to judge Malik on one innings as an opener. All we need is some consitency and confidence to our players. Be it Salman, Yasir or Malik. They are showing persistenc with Rana so why not give Salman and Yasir a fair run of three consecutive matches before deciding on them finally.

Just when you think the PCB can't pull any more shockers, they drop Butt. WTF?? He looked easily the most comfortable batsman after Afridi in both innings, and was out to casual shots. On the other hand, Yasir looked as if he had never held a bat before in his life.
A low score is on the cards unless Inzi and Younis and put together a mammoth partnership.

Have you ever thought what will happen once youhana is back and we have younis inzi kamal and youhana in the side along with afridi and razzak. When that will happen we will not be having a natural opening pair of salman and yasir. I guess the management have realized that they will encounter this problem very soon. It will be tough to drop razzak or afridi. So they will probably opt with keeping salman or yasir and then shuffling afridi or younis as an other opener according to the situation.

the stupidest thing they could ever do was to keep Yasir and drop Butt and mashallah thats what our team did 
Yasir keeps showing them that he’s gonna get out the same way again and again yet they dont get the point. With edwards out of the line up…Salman would have easily cracked the rest of the bowlers for boundires in his natural style.
