Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

Misbah did a good job of insulting those 'legends' and 'talents' during the post-match presentation.

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

who dropped sangakkara? Afridi or YK?

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

In the days of Saeed Anwar, the freaking Internet was not in access of everyone, social media site was not that much available, anchors ( such as from score) were never heard of, players were stress free and captains use to play like a game of chess hence we saw playes like Anwar, inzi, saqlain etc, and now, to these pseudo-inteligencia batsmen like Azahr Ali, Misbah and other stroke makers who play One days and test as it should be played are just time wasters because although they manage to score 4 or 5 runs a over, but they do not try to smash every ball out of the ground!!! hence should be thrown out of the team... the irony is, even if they perform these declare them the reason for the fall...

Pakistan now should rest Afridi, Akmal and Younis, time to check new talent, i don't know when was the last time after akmal we introduced any new bat in the team??? anyone any idea????

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

About time we should get normal batsmen in the team, atleast they won't be having any issue playing under any captain or won't be hitting shots in tv ads only...

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

We do have strength on bench but problem is that we believe too much in current players to give someone else a chance. I believe we needed to keep Fawad Alam in the team in place of Younis Khan, he is capable of consolidating, rotating strike (which Younis fails on many occasions). I am sure there are other players too but I don't watch that much of local games.

well said.

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

I jst finished watching the highlights as I was at work during the match…

Umar Gul…huge mistake by dropping Sanga…and it was an easy catch..

Misbah and Azhar (specially Azhar), did a great job…the way they played I never thought Pak would be all out for that score!!! :smack:

Mahela & Sanga - awesome piece of work that was…beautiful to watch…I was so sad when their partnership was broken…specially Sanga at 97 :frowning: they are always my favs…love watching them together, great team work, great chemistry..they know each other too well…

Great fielding by the SL team..and Perera…nice hatrick…

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

You know rumour has it Hitler had the entire German National Cricket Team shot when they lost. I might forward this motion onto our military. Albeit it is a unverifiable rumour. Discussing play by Pakistan today. I almost puked. :-\

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

Pakistan has a lot of talent and bench strength. I mean, just see how Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq came and established themselves. I think even Aizaz Cheema and Tanvir Ahmed did pretty well debuting in their 30s. There are many talented individuals in Pakistan domestic circuit. Problem is the whole system is based on nepotism and sefarish. See how many times Imran Farhat and Shoaib Malik keep coming back. If you can remove a class player like Mohammad Yousuf (for whatever reasons, political, personal, or fitness), certainly players like Younus Khan, Hafeez, Afridi, and to some extent Umar Akmal (though very talented but another Afridi with temprament) should also be replaced. Revamp of the squad is needed. Certainly, find another open than Hafeez and give more chances to Hammad Azam and Ahmed Shahzad or Shahzaib Hassan. Nasir Jamshed has bad luck (injuries). Middle order, there is Navid Yasin, Babar Azam, Afaq Raheem, Salahuddin, Amir Sajjad, Sharjeel Khan, Fawad Alam, I am sure there is much more talent in domestic circuit. Who has been doing well consistently.

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

PCB please take out Misbah , Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq from ODI’s as they are not ODI’s player and make Afridi captain and umar Akmal vice captain so I"m sure we’ll be able to make a record of 9/10 :cobra:

hats off for the supporters of Akmal & company (tullay baaz) and hatters of Misbah :hat:

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

This man has a gr8 luck like Afridi and always part of team :frusty: :sadaf:

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

So close yet so far, collective suicide by the most talented players of our team, namely bradman, the boom boom six every ball player, out of form khan and havent got a clue sarfraz.

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

it's only a rumour ..... Cricket vanished in Germany well before Hitler came into power ......

No need to shoot anyone .... just drop the lost and keep a few young players

No need for Younis, Gul, Cheema, Umer Akmal, Afridi, Sohail, Farhat, Malik AND a lot others who keep resurfacing every now and then

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka - 4th ODI, 16th June 2012

yes we’ve already a record of 9/10 … namely losing while chasing 240+
