After the second ODI victory Pakistan are now placed at #5 in ICC ODI table and will participate in this year’s ICC Champions Trophy (Otcober) among the top 6 teams.
Srilanka on the other hand must win the 3rd ODI and than wait for India to beat England in the first two matches before April 1st.

Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka- 3rd ODI Tuesday March 21-Colombo
I think Pakistan will make one change, they will rest either Asif/ Rana, or a Batsman(Inzi) :D and bring in Abdul Rauf the left arm spinner, as he was all set to play the 1st ODI but he twisted his ankle, however he is fine and ready.
Personally IMO I would like to see this team:
1) I. Farhat
2) S. Butt
3) S. Malik
4) Younis Khan*
5) Faisal Iqbal
6) K. Akmal
7) S. Afridi
8) Rana Naveed
9) T. Khan
10) A. Rauf
11) U. Gul
Make all the key players rest, and send in the young guns and let them have a taste of Int' cricket.
Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka- 3rd ODI Tuesday March 21-Colombo
I agree with your thoughts. As Rameez Raja mentioned in the post-match analysis, they certainly amped a brave move by plunging Younis Khan at the top order, and having Kamran Akmal bat lower down the order. It not only creates a flexible shoulder of responsibility on the hands of the likes of Razzaq and Akmal but it also provides a chance to the more established and anchored batsmen of the team, such as Younis and Yousuf.
Going by the same school of thought, I would like to see Shoaib Malik bat lower down the order, and move Younis Khan at one-down position. Again, judging by the amount of credentials each one has, the latter has the ability to nudge the ball around and tick the scoreboard over, while on the other hand, Malik has the ability to perform on both sides of the fence, as it hitting the ball and batting responsibly.
5) Faisal Iqbal
9) T. Khan
10) A. Rauf
11) U. Gul

Definitely. I think Faisal Iqbal should be included in the final squad at all costs, regardless of Tahir Khan or anyone else. He has deserved his place in the team, and rightfully so.

Apnay Lehrati Zulfoon ka naam liya :D well I dont agree with moving Shoaib Malik down the order now, it states that you are re-shuffling the complete batting order, Malik is just fine where he is till the WC07' (Chacha Woolmer sentiments.)
You cannot change the order the way they did in the 2nd ODI it sounds quite stupid and we saw raggedy result from the batsmen.
Re: Pakistan vs Srilanka- 3rd ODI Tuesday March 21-Colombo
I sorts of agree with Shoaib Malik retaining his position at one-down (considering his recent performances), however, Younis Khan at #4 and Shahid Afridi would need to come lower down the order to create a more overall balanced team.
