This game reminded me of the close group match against Australia during the 1999 World Cup in which Pak made 262 and restricted Aus to 252

Despite Kamran Akmal's best effort to fail Pakistan, with the bat and behind the stumps, Pakistan managed to win, in order to keep the strong side, Pakistan need dependable gloves behind the stumps, Abdur Rehman was the victim of Kamran akmal who surely can destroy the carrier of this promising spinner..whereas, his silly running between the wicket can cost us match at any given day...need to get rid of this trojan horse

Thanks. Proves once and for all you are most definitely a guy (cricket+streams). I found a really awesome stream on www.veetle.com so I’d recommend that to anyone who needs it.

Great match and performance by Pakistan. Younis Khan played exceptionally well and so did Afridi, he really rises up to the big occasions. I think Pakistan should avoid taking the batting powerplay until Misbah gets out, he totally wasted the powerplay today…we were well set for 300. Umar Akmal and Umar Gul’s form is worrying.

Analyzing after a couple of warm-up matches and 2 group matches victories...it appears to be that Pakistan squad has developed 5 pillars in this WC tourney:

  1. Shahid Afridi

  2. Misbah-ul-Haq

  3. Younis Khan

  4. Rest of the Squad

  5. The Think Tank in the Dressing Room...like coaches, the management and planners etc.

I don't blame Misbah... it was Murli's bowling that restricted him and he made up for it by scoring 32 runs off 3 overs afterwards. I do agree though that in general, with wickets in hand, Pak should've upped the tempo after 42 overs or so.

Younis khan rightly started hitting stuff after 38th over or something........misbah on the other hand wasted all that time......he shoudl've tried harder to hit all over the place and give some overs to afridi n razzak to hit..........but hey...anyways....all is well that ends well :D
