Pakistan vs South Africa - Test Series

I'de be celebrating too, but how often is it we see great young players come along have a few amazing games, then fade away. Remember Muhammad Hafeez anyone? 3 months ago he was our future captain and best player, now he is driving a ricksaw.
Of course that is not to take away from what these guys have already done, if they can show consistency, these 2 plus Yassir Hameed should be absolutely dynamite. But they will have to show a decent run of a few months and will have to continue this progress against New Zealand.

Well Played Pakistan!

Great batting by IMI MAN U DID IT, I still remember 8 years back when you said that one day you will be playing for Pakistan like Saeed.

Congrats! my friend and keep the spirits high:jhanda:

i have to admit Pakistan have now found the right choice as far as openers go - replacing Saeed Anwar would have been one hell of a job for them but i think they have managed it quite well. These 2 openers are young - and they have a lot of time ahead of them to make/break records.

M Hafeez is going thru rough patch, I hope and I am sure he will make his comeback but only if any of our current all rounders or openers loose their form (hope it does not happen though). When Inzi issued stupid statement that he won't be playing for Pakistan again, I am sure he really didn't mean it.

79.1 Ntini to Inzamam-ul-Haq, FOUR, super shot! what a start of day 3,
short ball, goes back and pulls it to deep mid wicket for four

take it easy inzi

Imran smashes a Four ...

Inzi out :nook: lbw to Pollock

Inzi gone.

:(

All the talk about lead is shaky now :( I hope Asim can repeat his performance

PAK 251/3.... seems like we'll end up with around a 100 run lead in the 1st innings....

asim kamal now has to deal with the new ball....
hope he does better than inzi....

Imran Farhat gone aftera good innings.

another gone to pollock... perhaps Imran

now the talk of lead is perhaps over, we have to at least equal the score :crying:

good game by Imran :k: now responsibility on Asim and Shoaib and Moin

82.4 Pollock to Imran Farhat, OUT: short ball, goes for a pull shot,
misstimed it and went straight in the hands of Peterson at square
leg for a simple catch

   Pakistan 251/4, Partnership of 3
   Imran Farhat c Peterson b Pollock 128 (226b 18x4 0x6)
   Asim Kamal 1* (6b) SM Pollock 17.4-7-35-3

Malik in....
not very fit....
comes in with an abdominal stretch....

:smack: hook shot with no power innit

I think Inzi should have sent Razzaq in. Shoaib is still suffering from abdominal stretch and it would have been better if he got more rest. Razzaq has at times come one down so he has faced the new ball.

malik has come as opener and had a century....
and for that matter came onde down and had a century....
although in one-dayers, but he can face the new ball i think....

he should have been given as much rest as possible, why over stretch
