Never seen Faisal Athar, but Imran farhat is a natural stroke player like Salman Butt. I saw him score 30 against Australia and he hit some spanking shots but played and missed at a lot as well. My view is that against top quality bowlers the shot players have got more chance at getting runs than the likes of Hafeez because his technique isn't water-tight so he's just as likely to get out and less likely to get a few runs before doing it.
49.6 Kallis to Faisal Iqbal, FOUR, on legs, down on one knee and heave
it over mid wicket for four and gave a target of 251 runs
City Nazim XI 250/4 (50.0 ov)

But look at the bowlers, only 3 wickets down and they finished with 4 overs to spare.

Unknown bowlers, none of whom is in the squad. Looking at this match I think SA will not have it all their way.
yes, bowling was weak compared to SA even then they controlled the SA batsmen. batting line up was strong, i wish these guys could play the ODIs:bummer:
Where was Wasim, Mushtaq etc..???

^ It's good to be the underdog sometimes and have less expectations from your team. They may surprise you. :)

Nothing to be :( about this.
This is a truth. Pakistan is going through the rebuilding process.
Although ye PCB ki ghaltee hay k we have to go through this major rebuilding process instead of 1-2 players at a time. They never had a strategy in place in which they can prepare the replacement for seniors.
My fear is that this whole team once again will become senior altogather and PCB will again pay no attention towards the grooming of junior players and after 7-8 years we again have to go though the same rebuilding process.

So which was that Wasim Bari match in which Wasim Akram,Moin khan, Mushtaq etc..were included ??
^^ That was NOT a wasim bari match, it was a benefit match for Shoaib Mohammad and it was due to be held in karachi and was cancelled later on.
First one dayer is the benefit match for Wasim Bari!
