I’m totally disgusted with Pak’s batting. No player took resposnisbility and Dean jones is right, why the hell is Younis khan still in the team?
SA’s gonna make minced eat out of us in the test matches anyway. :frowning:

Well done to South Africa, who lost the toss, had two players missing through suspension but looked like winners from the first ball. Good aggressive and accurate bowling, sharp fielding and consistent and clinical batting.

Pakistan were handicapped by their top order, Hafeez just not good enough at this level and Younis Khan once again failing to make a meaningful score in 5 matches.

The selection process has been a shambles and it ended up impacting directly on the results I feel.

^^

DITTO!!!!

pakistan were pathetic to lose the series after being 2 - 0 up was abysmal. nothing is clear in pakistani camp one minute all the promises are thrown into newspapaers but they fail to deliver and they can’t put their words where their mouth is they are u know wat.. and then pcb has the mentality to disregard waq bahi, and mushy etc saying we are going through A REBUILDING PROCESS well nice rebuilding isn’t it  i ain’t looking forward toi the test series cos we’ll lose even heavier all the best paki cric team don’t let ur loyal supporters down plz do lose again… it’s pathtic this is, i’m so madddddd :mad3:

Do you guys think that Aamir Shohail and his chums would like Hafeez to open in test matches vs SA too? :)

Congrats to SA.

Zabardast maaf karo ..if they still want to keep hafeez then don't make him opener. Will Taufeeq be available ?

I think SA has the edge in ODI's but Pakistan will give them a fight especially with Shoaib, Sami and Mushtaq back in the fold. I think 3/2 to SA.

Ehsan bhai's prediction came true.

Ehsan bhai, any predictions for the test series? Need to give an answer to all these bookies. :-|

I guess before the series had begun almost all were thinking that it would be 4-1 or 5-0 in SA favor and only few thought it would be 3-2 for SA even though everyone WISHED it to be 4-1 or 5-0 for Pakistan.

If Pakistan had lost first 2 matches that would not have set such high hopes for all of us. After we won 2 games everyone had had their hopes too high and now disappointed to see 3-2 for SA winning series.

I think our team played fairly, in 1st three games our middle order was successul and we won (except for the 3rd, thanx to D/L) but last 2 our middle order failed and we lost.

Our opening is virtually absent. We have to change our strategy as pointed by Xtreme in past to keep our RR 4+ at least for first 15 overs. For that we need a better partner for Yasir Hameed. Younis Khan must be replaced by Misbah or other better performing batsman.

I find this series of 5 games a bit too neatly disposed. First Pak 2 up then slide down to lose. I certainly don't want to start conspiracy theories but I do not believe these results were natural

ehsan got the result right but in the last two games we didn't give them much of a fight at all. That was the disappointing aspect. We batted consistently badly for 50 overs whereas in the first 3 games we were only batting badly in the first 15.

I thought the body language of our batsmen was negative with the exception of Hameed, it's difficult to criticise the bowlers though, they never had any sort of target to defend. To me the South Africans looked like they wanted it more and this was reflected in the defiant speeches given by their captain, while Inzi seemed to think getting thumped on home grounds was ok.

me too ..... How can a side with the batting average of around 250 per match suddenly decline to an average of 175 ??? it's not only because Inzi was injured but there seems to be something else

^^ come on yaar, just accept the fact that our batting (and by that i mean openers ) are not upto the mark. Dont blame it on supernatural stuff. And you dont have to be a genius to realize what Mr. Tom wants to start.

one thing is sure .... Hafeez is crap and Hameed is a good prospect but isn't able to attack good line & lenght bowling like Gilli (Pak need an opner like him) ..... Pak need an opner like Anwar

OK ...just wait for a few years and the truth will come out.

Hameed did ok, he showed he can make runs against quality opposition and considering he's not a specialist opener did a good job. Was able to pick up the rate once established as well, no problems there.

About Hafeez, enough's already been said.

Right now, the most important thing that needs to be done is to ask Aamir Sohail to either quit commentator's job or the selectors, coz being invoelved in both, he just seems to contradict himself again and again. and he criticizes coach and captain unneceserrily

Secondly, Rashid should seriuosly consider what to do. Its okay taking a break, but he should be ultra charged to the required job of a wicket-keeping allrounder after he comes back from the break. I heard Ramiz telling Jones that Rashid is being persuaded by inzi not to take a break and play in test matches, if tht is the case, Rashid should shape up coz its disheartening to see the keeper of his calibre dropping a catch. That was an extremely difficult one but for him it should have been no problem.

Moreover, Saeed Bin Nasir, Imran Farhat or salman butt must replace Hafeez. And Mushy shold be included in the test squad if he is fit enough. Poor Hafeez, i feel for him. wasnt his fault entirely.

Younis Khan's place must be in jeopardy now, and i seriously hope inzi and youhana are 100 percent fit for the test series.

:snooty:

What will be my cut of the winnings?
