Pakistan have called up Azhar Mahmood for the fifth and deciding one-dayer against South Africa on Sunday.
All-rounder Azhar is in line to be selected for the first time in the series after Abdul Razzaq fell ill.
“Azhar was called to the nets and will be under consideration,” captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said, adding opener Imran Farhat is likely to replace Mohammad Hafeez. ( i think our selectors read our views on GUPSHUP ![]()
South Africa will be minus banned duo, captain Graeme Smith and Andrew Hall.
Both received suspensions after a confrontation in the first match with Yousuf Youhana, who was fined half of his match fee but escaped a ban.
The personnel loss is a huge blow to South Africa, who go into the game with great momentum following wins in the last two encounters.
In line for a recall are batsman Neil McKenzie and paceman Charl Langeveldt.
Inzamam declared himself fit after missing the previous two matches in Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.
**“Due to injuries and fitness problems we missed key players and that was the main reason we lost the last two games,” Inzamam said. **
