Pakistan VS South Africa - ODI series.

GOOD NEWS GUYS…

**Pakistan recall Azhar **

Pakistan have called up Azhar Mahmood for the fifth and deciding one-dayer against South Africa on Sunday.

All-rounder Azhar is in line to be selected for the first time in the series after Abdul Razzaq fell ill.

“Azhar was called to the nets and will be under consideration,” captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said, adding opener Imran Farhat is likely to replace Mohammad Hafeez. ( i think our selectors read our views on GUPSHUP

South Africa will be minus banned duo, captain Graeme Smith and Andrew Hall.

Both received suspensions after a confrontation in the first match with Yousuf Youhana, who was fined half of his match fee but escaped a ban.

The personnel loss is a huge blow to South Africa, who go into the game with great momentum following wins in the last two encounters.

In line for a recall are batsman Neil McKenzie and paceman Charl Langeveldt.

Inzamam declared himself fit after missing the previous two matches in Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.

**“Due to injuries and fitness problems we missed key players and that was the main reason we lost the last two games,” Inzamam said. **

Pakistan (from): Yasir Hameed, Yousuf Youhana, Inzamam-ul-Haq (captain), Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik, Rashid Latif, Mohammad Sami, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Shabbir Ahmad, Saqlain Mushtaq, Faisal Iqbal, Naved Latif, Imran Farhat.

South Africa (from): Mark Boucher (captain), Jacques Kallis, Shaun Pollock, Neil McKenzie, Jacques Rudolph, Robin Peterson, Alan Dawson, Makhaya Ntini, Charl Langeveldt, Andre Nel, Boeta Dippenaar, Herschelle Gibbs, Paul Adams.

I think the following team will give SA a good run for their money:

  1. Imran Farhat.
  2. Yasir Hameed
  3. Youhana
  4. Inzi
  5. Younis
  6. Malik
  7. Azhar
  8. Rashid
  9. Shoaib 10 Sami
  10. Shabbir.

The problem is there are only 5 bowlers. Does Imran Farhat bowl?

Great team Ehsan bahi and yes Imran Farhat also bowls, he took 2 wickets in the practice match. so i think he will be useful with bat and with the bowl.

I like this team. i think even though Shabber went for a few in the last game, he should’ve gotten two wickets at least. (dropped catches) So the captain should stick with him. Bring it on South Africa :jhanda:

common pakis.. there key players r missing and best of all the captain....
common azhar... make a gud cumback!

yes , imran farhat is a leg spinner and is used consistently in domestic oneday competition.

Good to see Imran playing for Hafeez. Its about Hafeez is where he deserved to be a long ago, not in the playing odi! Even if Imran fails in this match, I would like to see him get more chances. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesnt score a lot of runs, as there must be a lot of pressure on him. Best of luck to the team!

Azhar Mahmood is also from Pindi, and is a local boy!!! Go azhar, your home crowd wants a good knock from you!!! I remember in 1999-2000 we skipped school to go see his test century against the South Africans in a test match!!!

Ok Aaj Sab log hamesha ki terha Dua kerna. Har muslim, sikh, hindus, chiristian jo pakistani hai please pray.

:bism:

anyone broadcasting???

anyone broadcasting the game?

yeah ARY digital for middle east and europe :rotfl:

funnyyy :frowning:

I only saw Imran Farhat once before against Australia, he played and missed at a few but hit some nice shots as well and scored around 30.

Ideally Salman Butt wouldn't have been dropped but either way, it's great to see a left-handed opener in the side again.

Azhar's not as good a bat as Razzaq but I think he might have more variety as a bowler.

Imran Farhat is a talented batsman but Pakistan will definitly need a sixth bowler, if Shoaib, Sami, Azhar/Razzaq, Shabbir can bowl 10, the Malik will be left to bowl 10 overs, and I just can't see Pakistan keeping the score with 5 bowlers, I don't know about Imran Farhat, if he is as good as Hafeez then its good news.

Well Hafeez is quite accurate bowler, I would have considered keeping him in the team instead of Shabbir. Farhat is a leggie and they tend to be more expensive but let's see.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat.

So we going to win today... :)
