Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

Finally Prince gone B by Rahman for a well played 63

SAF 243-5

Hopefully they can restrict them under 300 but oh well

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

*they are going to score another 100 atleast 2mrow, so consider some score around 400, then pak will play and get all out by 240+ score, and then they will give us a lead of 350+ runs and we will be all out reaching that target.

Inzi will make few runs, and so will Yousuf, probably 10 or 15 each, and phiR thats it.*

OUT

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

De Villiers gone! :yahoo: - run outs in test matches are such a rarity (unless of course Pakistan is batting).

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

that was quite unlucky though hehe

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

aah... if we can get the night watch man out before the end of play :D

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

batsmen take the offer for light - end of play for the day.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

South Africa 259/6 (83.0 ov) end of play for day1.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

hmmm getting them out for 300 is possible now

Pak pacers need to exploit te early morning movement of the ball

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

Pak needs to bat once and post a big total, thats our only chance.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

..here I am late again...I like this not getting excited thing I have developed..

Well not bad for Pak...getting 6 on day one...However, a real chance will exist only if like most of you said, Pak. gets them all out for some thing around 300...
Oh well..
Lets see if INZI will really make his last test a memorable one for himself....
And Yousuf...well what can we say, nothing is above him..but is he in form?

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

Do we know who won the toss this time?
If Pak. did, why did we not elect to bat?
Sorry for questions that might be too obvious to the rest..

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

^ SA won the toss and elected to bat first. This pitch has much more support for seamers, so it will suit SA better. It all depends how Pak bat tomorrow.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

Pretty good day for Pak. Got to watch most of todays play bvefore heading for university. 300 odd for Saffies would be a solid effort by the Pakistani attack, but the the batsmen would have to give us 500 odd, a 200 run buffer, allowing us to control the game.

Inzi bhai needs to get a famous parting century, and if MoYo gets one too I shall be a delightfully happy lad.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

^ Yes that should be our game plan....bowl SA out for < 350....bat sensibly and try and get a 150-200 lead which will set the game up nicely for Kaneria and Rehman to try and finish things off in the last 1.5-2 days. A slender first innings lead or deficit will almost guarantee a draw and a South African series victory.

Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore

GA..sorry to be a pessimist, but I think it will be the latter scenario from the ones you sketched above…
In any case ..:jhanda: so long as they give it their best, and by them I mean the current team, not INZI..His innings will be like a coin draw…
