Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore
These pundits or jerks at cricinfo seem worried about an upset Pakistan win. As much as I whole-heartedly wish that we do, this game in all likelihood will finish by lunch or between lunch and tea tomorrow. Did n't they see how we batted in the first innings?
cricinfo
Pakistan need to create a world record to win this. And Mark, from South Africa, pings us with this: "Knowing Pakistan, they'll try and chase this." Ah!
Joe: "This proves the point we should have declared at least 4 overs ago, de Villiers and Boucher are far better in keeping the scorecard rolling. Prince should have been dropped down."
Jose: "Bad decision by Smith in my opinion. Should have batted on and totally killed off the game. Why risk a series win at all? Steve Waugh or Kepler Wessels would never have declared."
Wow what a timing of your message, so its not only me who is thinking on those lines.....well saying that Kamal just survived. Obove slips for 4......it took my heart out....Who can be hero...you never know this is cricket.
Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore
Pakistan haven't scored even 300 in the series. Don't expect them to score 450 runs that too in 1.5 days.
Well its never impossible. This is cricket for you. Records are always broken. At least we can be hopeful and enjoy until the 1st wicket fall. I know its not an easy task by no means.
But playing for draw always puts extra pressure on you....Well while writing this...here you go BUTT has given his BUTTTT catching practice idiot
Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore
I hope Malik learns something from this series… you can’t play to others weaknesses but to your own strengths - and Pakistan’s strength is its pace bowling. By taking two pacers, he has not only tired them out and risked their injury but also given ample leeway to the opposition. Granted that SA are traditionally not great players of spin - but our spinners have been nothing more than ordinary.
The only thing I want out of the remaining one day of this match is to see Inzi score decent runs and get a warm send-off and that he wouldn’t regret playing this last test.
If our batsmen click big IF and somehow draw the match, that’ll be a bonus at this time.
and as I type this… Butt saab is out in his usual way

I hope this is the end of BUTTTTTTTTT
errr I think so too. PCB committed a blunder by making him VC. He was very relaxed when he playted against SL in abudhabi but sinc ebecoming vc I think he feels he is under more scrutiny now. If he doesnt perform in one or two one dayers first up, i am afraid this will be it for him.
Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore
When he started playing for Pakistan I thought this boy has a talent, but unfortunately he has disappointed big time. I am sure there are other openers in the country who deserves better then him. Why not bring an Under 19 boy who just made century against Aus under 19. Younis played two brilliant shots for 4.
Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore
^ I think you mean Akmal. I wish Kamal was also playing in this game. Him being left-handed is an added advantage
Sorry brother yes you are right...well Akmal is playing so well. Beautiful cover drives in NEL's over. He must be a very tired guy.........after keeping for so long and then opening the innings.
Re: Pakistan Vs South Africa: 2ND TEST MATCH (Oct 8-12) @ Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore
Pakistan 108/1. Thats pretty good considering how fragile our batting line up has been. Only IF Younus and Akmal can continue to play this way tomrrow and with Yousuf, Inzi, Malik, Misbah to come...we have a very good chance of drawing this match. The chance of winning seems very far fetched at the moment unless Younus or Akmal come up with something very special...which is very unlikely.
With the ball getting older, Harris will become more and more effective, and there goes our batting line up.
I'm hoping i'm wrong and we can still manage a draw.
