Re: Pakistan vs South Africa 1st Test Match 2013
there was no need for such statement captain!
comprehension problems maybe?..dont try to appear for GMAT or LSAT!
deep sigh…anyway let me explain
my comment was purely contextual …here is what asif said

asif is saying that if SA wins next test match given the conditions, it will be an upset …that was the basis of my hypothesis…did you get it or still struggling? that No 1 team win against a No 6 team will be considered an upset. It is a loaded statement.
and i said that asif’s observation has brought up an interesting hypothesis/question “that if a NO 1 team … i repeat again, NO 1 test team’s win in unfamiliar conditions is an upset , then what is the quality of test cricket these days?”
it was an academic exercise…I then took this hypothesis/question and tested against several other top ranked teams Aus, India and England and showed that the exact same behavior applies on them as well…apnay ghar may sher and outside matii kay dher
so how did i insult Pakistan team? my net conclusion was that unlike windies of 80s and aussies of 90s who used to win in alien conditions as well, today’s best test teams are not as good as numbers show.
If you had a bit of logical mind you would have realized that I was actually favoring pakistan by suggesting that when we lose 3/0 to SA or Aus in their countries, we return them the favor on our pitches as well. So they are not really no 1…rankings dont mean much.
If we beat SA 2/0 and we have already beaten england 3/0 then we shd not be no 6 and/or they shd not be no 1 and no 2…there is something seriously wrong with ranking system. maybe more weight-age shd be given to a win outside home ?..why do England play so many test matches at home for example every summer?
that is what i was expecting for our discussion..and look what you came up with
please stop attacking and making baseless conclusions . this is not fair.
jalee jalee tapee tapee :hehe:
The conclusions are not baseless but are based on your pessimistic posts about how bad Pakistani cricket is, how bad Pakistani cricketers are, how bad the bench strength is and all that.
