well if Mohammed Aamir sticks around and Umar gul hits off couple of sixes then its anybodys game. You never know..its only 113 runs! one semi decent partnership from any of our batsmen could have made a game out of this. this is a sad performance!
Agree that its a collective batting failure but you cant expect apples from orange tree. When you have used a recipe for disaster, there will be a disaster.
First thing first, team selection should be right just packing 7 hard hitting batsmen does not do the job. Secondly, if you know that 2 of the 7 selected batsmen are failing for quite long time now, they should REST ....
and Younus stands out. Again an avg. of 22 in 19 ODIs this year is asking alot of questions. Not only that but the way he has batted throughout. His strike rate has been alarmingly low whenever he managed to cross double figures.
I am more surprised because no wicket fall in the over ..oh but thats possible now as actually bowlers are batting now ... I am sure they are good enough to survive a whole over unlike our batsmen :)
