This match has exposed pakistani batting and bowling against a quality team. out of two real games pakistan won one game by a little margin against srilanka and lost horribaly other. against minnows pakistan won comfortably against one and struggled against another.
If pakistan really wants to win the cup then they will have to work on their bowling and fielding as next round games will be against quality teams and may not be in srilanka but in hostile land.
i dont know if it is too late to do something about the khatmal, his misses were unbelievable.

If khatmal had not messed up the situation would have been very differnet, so yes we need to improve but the situation is not as stark or dire as you are pointing or making it out to be. Pakistan was never favourite to win this world cup, but than they were not favourite to win the T/20 either. That is what Paksitan is, unpredicatble.
Don't worry guys. Our batting is not good and we are playing one bowler short like India. We know wat happened to India, Bangladesh scored 290 chasing under lights, couldn't defend 338 and Yuvraj got lucky against Ireland match otherwise 300 was looking good for Ireland and defeat also for India. Mostly bowlers win you matches. If we had one more specialist no way NZ would cross 210 and we would have easily chased that target with this batting lineup. I always say No. 7 or 8 batsman can never win you match if all top 6 batsmen fail. It's good it happened now. Wake up call!
This is what I LOVE and HATE abt Pakistan…its ALWAYS like that…they always tend to sneak up from behind you..and then you are left sitting shell shocked watching them walking away with the cup!!!

Indian batting was also exposed against Ireland. In warm up game NZ scored 320+ against Ireland. India was chasing only 200 and you know wat happened to world best batting lineup and we were chasing 300. Remember Kohli dropped catch and fielding of your team.

I am just saying like it or not. like wise people say, your team is as strong as your weakest link.
btw tell me which major team is not unpredictable , you cannot always bank on unpredictability.
I am somewhat disappointed with MoM decision, it should have been Kamran Akmal by all means, had he not performed in favor of NZ, it was hard for the NZ team to reach 200 mark...
Kudos to Kamran Akmal's performance but GORA shall always be bias, they gave all the credit to Taylor who was dropped twice...
Anyway, now that Kamran Akmal has shown his true colors, he shouldn't be playing next match, get Ajmal in and let Chota Akmal keep the wickets... Anyone can be better job behind the wickets, certainly better than Kamran Akmal
i dont think indian batting has exposed yet but bowling is certainly exposed.
yes i remember kohli drop catches but this is not a tit-vs-tat issue. indian performance doesnt help pakistani performance.
he suppose to do his work, easy chances he missed can demoralize whole team and he did miss three of the easiest chances today… as for sangakara and canada he was criticized but.. not everytime he have to miss it, because it is a limit.. we had great keepers like Saleem Yousuf, Moin Khan ( Moving Khan) and Rashid Latif.. and in those days i never knew how much a bad keeper can cost, his cost doesn’t worth his benefits, he had to go…
the moment he dropped those two catches, shoaib a rhythm bowler lost his momentum and this can happen to any bowler who have a keeper like Kamran the dandoo
it wasn't just kamran akmal though...what happened to the batting line up? what happened to the opening pair? like the last 3 matches...they threw away their wickets yet again....

100 for 4 against Ireland? and chasing 200 against Ireland in 46 over. I admit your batting is very good but...
