I cant believe in all these years RP is only the 3rd player to make it to the Indian team from UP! I'm sorry my geography sucks but is it a really small state?

Believe it or not, Malik automatically becomes a main batsman since he was an opener. His absence would mean Afridi will open the innings, and if he fails, there’ll be big trouble for Pakistan.

No ... it is biggest. But It doesnt have any Metro. Usually most of cricketers came from Metros ( Bombay,Delhi,Channai,Banglore & Hyderabad mainly).
Team of Bombay, Delhi, Taml Nadu,Karnataka & Hyderabad always were strongest in India. In last 5 years though Punjab,UP, Baroda and Bengal have become good cricket team.

Yesterday, Kaif lead UP to Ranji Final. Where they will face bengal most probably.
Semi Final Line up was :
UP vs Bombay and
Bengal Vs Baroda

Parthiv Decision was totally idiotic. Kiran More ko mera Salam. This idiot has goofed up so many times.
First of all there is no need to carry 2nd WK for a series in pakistan. And If it was needed it should have been Karthik. But then More had to do something for his zone.

True.

The reason I brought up the topic of selection is because I think Harbhajan needs to be replaced in the next test match. He has been ineffective for the most part in this series so far. But there is no one on the bench to replace him. An extra spinner(preferably one who can also bat) would have been ideal in the touring party instead of Parthiv Patel who is simply wasting a spot (no fault of his , of course).

Now that i think of it even we've never had any cricketers from Baluchistan. Mostly from Sindh Punjab and Sarhad.

Yep....There are some states with have 2 teams.. Like
Maharashtra and Bombay
Gujrat and Baroda
Andhrapradesh and Hyderabad

This is how it has been tradionaly from Bit days I guess.

I did not see the later half of yesterday's play.

Somebody tell me why was Tendulkar in a hurry to get back to the pavillion.

Apparently he declared himself out when he was not.

Even Gavaskar (who used to 'Walk' if he thought he was OUT instead of waiting for the Umpire's decision) has been reported as saying that the only occasion he did not WALK was when playing against PAKISTAN because there was so much at stake.

And here we have Tendu exhibiting uncalled for integrity. He does not appear to have the drive or the aggression anymore....budhaapa is telling...

i don't think any player has experienced a greater frequency of bad umpire calls than Tendulkar.

this guy's bad luck in this regard is incredible.

half the time players get out on bad calls they are not sure themselves, and often fully believe the umpire.

re-play cameras and rulebooks are much more relevant than the player’s reaction.

yes, he walked…and upon seeing the replay in the locker room, probably got pissed at himself for not standing his ground in front of the umpire.

…and all we need to do is re-watch the last world cup match to determine whether or not spells from shoaib bother sachin.
