if the Indians had been dismissed before the 4th day....this match would have been Pakistan's for the taking.
Like I said - India's goal was to first ensure that they did not lose.
Similarly Pakistan is short of 2 batsmen so they withdrew into defensive shell and didn't go all-out attacking otherwise a collapse (which is not so uncommon) would've ensured Indian win.

I think we can lay off with the cheap remarks such as 'gutless' and 'cowards' as the same can very well be attributed towards the opposite side of the fence as well. :)

If they were serious about winning, they could have sent aggressive batsmen like Afridi, Razzaq up the order and if they fell cheaply, Pakistan always had the option of dropping anchor with players like Younis, Youhana etc…

as the indiands would say, egjacttttttttttly! i think this combined with the worlkload on the bowlers was it, more so the collapse, lets play it safe, and see u in karachi!

Captain1, I don’t think that’s a very valid reason .. although I think that’s what’s going on in most people’s minds.
Atleast they should have gotten out after advancing the scorecard to a degree, or try to hit the best of their ability. You know what actually, I just can’t comprehend such stupidity.

honestly, both Dravid and Inzamam are very defensive captains, specially when it comes to "arch-rivals".

Not Dravid, going with five batsmen was an intent itself. He has been very aggressive in most of his previous matches. Can't blame India for playing slow in first innings. As said earlier, they were saving the match and had lost Sehwag quickly..

Pakistan is short TWO frontline batsmen and you expect them to go gung ho after the bowling?? Razzaq and Afridi have always been hit and miss and that just leaves the tail. So basically you want India to chase 250 odd in 60 overs? 
Snap out of your dream world. Pakistan will bat all day and make the Indians field all day.
And please, it’s not as if India are really proactive. If they were interested in a result they would have declared so that they had more time to dismiss Pakistan and start chasing. This is the same team that played for a draw in Bangalore and we know what happend there.

India is partly to be blamed for this draw, and that remains the reality.

anyway most probably, Pakistan won't declare before getting 300, So another 40-50 runs to get. i.e. 10 more overs and than change over. That leaves too short a time for any thing worthwhile, Better will be for Pakistan do batting practice for whole day...
