Pakistan vs England 3rd Test in Dubai - Feb 3-7, 2012

Re: Pakistan vs England 3rd Test in Dubai - Feb 3-7, 2012

Younis Khan is now ranked 5th in ICC Batsmen Test Ranking

Re: Pakistan vs England 3rd Test in Dubai - Feb 3-7, 2012

Pakistan earned a fortune from the series as they jumped from 99 to 108 points and now within striking distance from 4th (AUS) and 3rd Ranked (IND) in ICC Rankings.

Another important thing is that Pakistan has created a buffer of 10 points b/w them and Sri Lanka.

Depending on how series of top 4 teams goes, Pakistan will have first chance to enter top 4 during May/June series against Sri Lanka

Another fantastic victory. Mazaa aaa gaya.

And now they are only 3 points away from Australia and India. I've always said the ranking system for teams is pretty good and reflective of how things are going.

When is Pak's next test series?

India doesn't play tests for a whiillle I think.

what’s with the chicken dancing Adnan?

English batting averages for the series tell the sorry tale. Noone apart from Prior averaged > 30 with the bat. Look at Bell, Pietersen and Morgan’s stats

Re: Pakistan vs England 3rd Test in Dubai - Feb 3-7, 2012

Adnan Akmal needs to start behaving like a normal person. He is just very excitable and overdoing the appealing IMO. sometimes appeals even when he knows that the batsman is clearly not out. That can be annoying for both the batsman and the umpire. There is no need to scream or screech after every delivery. Such behaviour puts him in a bad light

Misbah and the team management need to have a 'quiet' word with him

Re: Pakistan vs England 3rd Test in Dubai - Feb 3-7, 2012

making sure no leaf remains unturned to investigate any wrong doing in this series win from pakistan…I mean telling his masters, “Sir, I can’t help it, they are not leaving any thing for me to use and exploit against them, but rest assured I will find something”

Something to build on: ten positives for the England cricket team after their 3-0 whitewash by Pakistan

by: Alan Tyres

****1.) By losing four wickets to Umar Gul today, England managed to deflect attention from their inability to play Pakistan spinners.
**
2.)** Forthcoming failure by 50-over side won’t look so glaringly bad now that Test version has also been thumped.
**
3.)** Graham Onions has demonstrated his fitness with vigorous bursts of drink-carrying, while Ravi Bopara has proven himself to be an international quality twelfth man. :k:
**
4.)** Defeat meant England players had something to take their minds off the disappointment and humiliation of being unsold in the IPL auction. :omg:
**
5.)** Managing to lose each Test in four days has given bowlers an all-too-rare day off; could be vital boost to their fitness as they pound the international cricket treadmill.
**
6.)** None of the England batsmen caused disharmony in the dressing room by showing his team-mates up with a big score. Total batting failure was a true team effort.
**
7.)** With Trott, Pietersen and Morgan all failing to varying degrees, England fans had to put up with fewer “but your team are all foreign lolz” comments from around the world.
**
8.)** Packed schedule of international cricket means there were only three Tests for England to lose.
**
9.)** England lost second Test by 72 runs; and third Test by 71. The gap with Pakistan is narrowing all the time.
**
10.)** Monty’s back!
