Still a shameful display by Pakistan. They got so lucky and escaped embarrassment.
Why do keep people talking about defeat or possible defeat at hands of BD as 'shameful'? We are talking about sports here, not war. BD has proven itself to be a good team in this tournament by defeating Sri Lanka and India.

I'm talking performance specific related to Pakistan. They performed poorly overall.
Kudos to Bangladesh they're making big strides in cricket.

I don't think Pakistan performed bad overall, Pak only lost to India and that was not by a big margin otherwise I think they did well in the tournament. The only shameful performance was ODI series against Eng IMO.

Most of my pakistanis friends are happy but not as happy as they ideally would be because 1) it was wayyy too close and 2) they didn't get the chance to get a revenge defeat on India
Having said that, where are the Misbah haters now? If BD had gotten those 2 runs they would be all over the place cribbing about every little decision he made in the field today.. every little decision.
I would let Misbah lead this side for another year at least.

I agree PAK should stick with Misbah but he made some obvious mistakes in the game against India therefore he was rightly criticized.
He rectified majority of them in this game such as playing Sarfraz as WK, keeping the pressure on by not exposing Cheema early, promoting Hammad over Afridi etc.
Not to mention Afridi picked up his game and Cheema bowled considerably better. Cheema, however, still needs a lot more than speed to be a class bowler. He has neither seam nor swing. He would be more suited in India.
Nasir is a good find. He should work on his fitness though.

He had no choice. :no: It was either him or Hammad Azam, and Cheema was the more experienced. We can all thank Gul for the pathetic performance at the end. Keeping his two wickets aside, he was pretty much hell bent on giving the win to Bangladesh, with his off target bowling at the start and towards the end.
But anyway, I’d have gone with Cheema too, unless Saeed Ajmal had an over saved.

no it was a risk. i would have ajmal bowl the last over. the best bowler!

Leaving Ajmal till the last over would have left it far too late. 
Had they conserved a couple of his overs in the middle, then yes. But had Saeed Ajmal not bowled that crucial, crucial over (48th it was, when he got Mashrafe Mortaza out caught), the match would have been over in the 49th. That much is a given the way Gul was bowling.
Anyway, personally I would have slotted in Abdur Rahman in the place of Gul, or maybe Cheema, but then again he held is nerves in the final over. If we can get together a couple of decent fast bowlers, I’d like to see the back of Umar Gul - unless he improves massively, and plays like a spearhead he is supposedly made out to be.

The umpiring (Ian Gould, Steve Davis) in the Final was poor. Pakistan were on the receiving end of atleast two umpiring blunders which cost us dearly in terms of our final score
Younis Khan was given out LBW off an inside edge
Umar Akmal was given out caught behind off his inner thigh

Exactly. I do not buy this inexperience argument any more esp. in ODIs. 5 of their players have played well over 100 matches
