Pak team announced…** Hooray, no Shoaib Malik, my dream come true **.
LONDON: The first of the two-Test series between Pakistan and Australia will begin tomorrow here at the Lord’s for which the eleven-member Pakistan team has been announced.
Captain Shahid Afridi told media after the team’s practice session that young batsmen Umar Amin and Azhar Ali would make their Test debut tomorrow while former captain Shoaib Malik and Yasir Hameed would not be part of the team in the first Test.
Included in the team are Salman Butt, Imran Farhat, Umar Amin, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul, Mohammad Aamer, Mohammad Asif and Danish kaneria.
Afridi said on this occasion that the national team mostly comprised of young players has the potential of making an upset against Australia.
I would have Shoaib malik over kachrra like Farhat anyday. Apart from Umar Akmal where is the top or middle order?
Anyone would be better than Imran Farhat, that's for sure. Honestly, I would have played Yasir Hameed one down or open with him. No Farhat in my starting 11 either. Too much pressure for a debutant Umar Amin to come in at No. 3, a crucial position in the batting order. Then at No. 4 another debutant. Azhar Ali should have opened with with Salman, Yasir at No 3. Umar Akmal at 4. and Umar Amin at 5.
Well Ehsan bhai, we knew the top order would not there...We saw the 17 selected for the tour. Only middle order is Umar Akmal. The rest all have question marks around their name.

Fact that there are so many so called, "experienced players" that have been playing without performing like senior players, are Out, players like, Moyo, Misbah, YK....and young guys like, Amin, Azhar are playing....gives me a reason to look forward to this.....They may not click right away, may not give you 200's right away...But they are a big step forward towards a brighter future....the step that we have not taken for number of years!
Yasir Hameed would be sitting duck for the Aussie pace bowlers. His horrible technique has got the better of him the past and having watched him the pentagular cup a few months back, he still gets out in the same fashion. I think the only reason they have preisisted with Farhat is because has faced these same bowlers in Australia and he didn't do too badly.
Though the team is unlikely to pass 250 but it would not be worse than the way we struggled with 'regulars' in Austraila and lost atleast one solid and two almost won matches.
I hope the best of the lot is sent with Waqar and Afridi.
During the thrashing or before England series if yk and myo are recalled, don't be surprise. Aijaz Butt abhi zinda hai, the circus can't be stopped.

**Umer Amin and Azhar Ali (the guyz with 0 test match experience) along with reliable Imran Farhat (we can rely that he'll fail) and Shahid Afridi (who haven't played test match for God knows how long) against Australia in english conditions....
And ppl are happy cuz Shoaib Malik is dropped ?
