Pakistan vs Australia, 2nd Test, Sydney Jan 3-7, 2010

Aussie commentators are usually very balance however it this time around it was different. Constantly hoping for Pakistani wickets to fall down and openly hoping for Australian to not lose wickets is not neutral in my view. Used to expect it from South Africans and Kiwi commentators.

Re: Pakistan vs Australia, 2nd Test, Sydney Jan 3-7, 2010

I have been listening to Channel Nine's team for over two decades. The Aussies commentators are not biased and in fact they want that the opposition plays better than the Aussies so there is competition on the field.

Mark Taylor made a comment during the Sydney Test that while fielding in the slips he admired Saeed Anwer's elegant stroke play to such an extent that he wanted him to not get out.

Mark Nicholas said that he gets excited when Umar Akmal comes to the pitch. When Akmal gets out early he said it's a shame we didn't get to see more of this brilliant batsman.

Ian Chappel has said that he is baffled why Afridi is not playing. He said he would include Afridi in any and all forms of cricket because he brings a lot to the table - spin bowling, explosive batting and energetic fielding and above all his motivational presence in the field.

These commentators are professionals and know their limits unlike some idiot desi commentators. With what we bring to the table, we have no right to criticize them.

Bhaijan there is no way I can compare our desi team to these commentators. I am comparing them with the standard which they have set for the last many years.

I should have specified that I am not including Chappel among the baised ones and if you compare them with Kiwis and South Africans you might find them the most unbiased team. But as I said I am comparing them with their own standards.

Openly saying on numerous occasions that if Pakistan can lose a wicket right now Australia will bounce back. Whereas in Austrlian innings they were just hoping for Australians to continue socring runs to put pressure on Pakistan. This is what I am talkiong about.

Khan Bhaijaan, I am still responding to Saby's comment. I get very emotional when someone whose views I respect makes such frivolous comments as declaring them biased.

I don't think you said anything that boils my blood, yet.

Re: Pakistan vs Australia, 2nd Test, Sydney Jan 3-7, 2010

having Channel 9 commentators after pathetic ones in NZ is just blessing !

off course C9 commentators are mostly Australians so they "want" Aus to win (its quite natural, isnt it?) and this is reflected in their comments sometimes but they give almost fair share to opponents too. Whoever performed was praised AAmir, Umer Akmal, Yousuf, Gul, Asif ...all were praised in fact on many points I just thought they are going overboard with Umer....

they even called Salman and Farhat "good batsmen" ....always tryign to save their @$$ saying "he is averaging 29 but i can tell you ... he is better batsman than this" ...

Ab kya hoga kalia?

Ab goli kha(Whitewash)

v will take white wash rather than winning on flat tracks

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw,morale is down now completely.

overy-hyped? Is that how our bowling strength was shown on Indian media? But yeah they did get Aussies out for 127… so I believe they are pretty good :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Pakistan vs Australia, 2nd Test, Sydney Jan 3-7, 2010

BTW its funny that all these Indian rats were in their holes for first 3 days and now they are out having time of their life :hehe:

Yar Captain, I have always seen this trend from them. The will never have the balls to say anything during a match. They will wait for the match to get over and then will come out of their holes. If the result is not on their favour they will stay inside.

They also allowed a 9th wicket partnership of 123 runs…wonder if they are good or plain lucky sometimes :hehe:

Just like your over hyped batsmen are lucky on flat tracks. oops sorry forgot they lost to SL on a flat track and nearly lost to BD. :rotfl:

you are right, Hussey was lucky 4 times to be exact

For mentally-blind people who only look at numbers… yeah they allowed 123 runs :omg:, real cricket followers know what happened, hate-junkies only look at numbers

I am sure they do coz it was pretty obvious :D

I can see from your posts what is “obvious” :hehe:

So if reducing austrlians to under 250 in the last innings of Melbourne and dismissing them for 127 in the first innnings of Sydney was just being lucky, then dont you think Australians 9th wickets partnership of 127 could be lucky as well, Einstein??

Try to make some sense dude. You know and we all know that you are simply being jealous of the fact that our bowling still stand out eventhough our overall performancxe has been below average. Is this fact too difficult for you to digest? Just because your bowling attack sucks doesn’t mean that others also follow the same path :hehe:

No Problem guys, keep it up and move on, we have so many matches to win yet!
:jhanda: Stand Up for the Championz! we are still Champion :jhanda:

OK dude, whatever you say :rotfl:
