they are not taking single and thats why pressure is mounting and both have tried slog in last couple of overs.
Should take 2/3 singles per over...
Salman Butt is keeping it slow, they should take singles more often.

at lunch Pakistan 84-0! great performance. It was tough going but they have fought it out admirably. They have had fortune on their side with numerous play and misses and Farhat with a dropped catch..
but they were prepared to fight it out like an opener should. hats off!

Not really, they should cover the lead first then start building on that, again first 5 overs are important after lunch as our batsmen tend to be sleepy after lunch.

good stuff! great determination and poise by the two openers. I historically have been very critical of Sami, Farhat and Butt, but credit is due when it is due! thanks for proving your critics wrong brothers!

i want go and watch. sydney is just three hour drive and ticket is just 36 dollars for me but i have work

So far so good,, but this is just start, the job is not done yet for the openers. first we need to cross 127 and then it will be something huge for Pakistani cricket team, a real moral booster..

well it suited for now - they certainly took the advantage and showed ponting that he made a gross mistake by opting to bat...
And now the pitch should be drying up..but still its overcast...so who knows maybe it will rain again right after pakistan make a substantial total...
