What is the logic behind bringing in a 35yr old Zulfiqar Babar, rather than some youngster who can play in the future too?

I predict that Pakistan team will 'crash' out of the next WC, on fast pitches. Hopefully some other teams can beat Pakistan so they can gain better status.
Ahmed Shahzad, Mibah, Afridi need to be "thrown out", what a useless bunch of boys who can't do anything. Time to stop paying them for these $hitty performances
Pakistani Batting line again completely failed. When I left room for jogging, Pakistan was 51/1 and Sarfraz batting nicely and on my return 6 down. We have tried many batsmen as opener but still unable to get a nice player. Try Fawad Alam on No. 3.

Irfan, Afridi and Zulfiqar bowled beautifully. Wahab needs to do some work on his death overs, getting 3 fours in a row is not a good bowling at all.
Just look at the Pakistan Batting performance in year 2014. Except Umar and Fawad no one has decent average/SR. I think PCB should give chance to Fawad in Test as they have already done injustice with this nice player. I am sure he is great player then Azhar, Asad or even Sohaib. Sohaib has done well only in one inning of 89* and if we taken out this inning he has nothing on his credit. Sharjeel has also given chances but unable to make his place in squad. Ahmed Shahazad on top but he is playing innings only for him like chandar paul. He does not know how to rotate strike.
As I earlier said we are not getting talented players or after one or two matches they stop performing well.
Misbah is also completely out of touch. Hafeez is not doing good with bat but at least he is bowling nicely in ODIs.
Enough has been said about Afridi. Shafiq who came in ODI squad after one year couldn’t show some performance in this match.
So we have these bunch of batsmen and do we have any other choice ?
Chk afridi's stats in Australia. Plus Adelaide Oval And SCG are pretty good dusty pitches for spin. Plus u can also check Shane Warne's stats... Pak will have 2 matches in Adelaide Oval with India and Ireland... Hagley Oval, Christchurch will host us with west indies but nothing much is known about that ground, hosted only 2 internationals before. Both low key teams. So we will know only after Sirilanka VS Newzealand ODI. Ironically they will play at the same venue after a week but this time its going to be a WoRLD CUP ODI. So Sirilanka has the best advantage of the pitches of all teams not hosting the world cup.
PAK vs South Africa will be in Eden Park, Auckland, seems a slow pitch with short boundaries. So a high scoring match on the cards, but one that will definitely assist the spinners.
So yeah afridi and other spinners will definitely come in handy on these slow pitches.
One of the main reasons I am not very hopeful…but again, in new zealand because of small pitches we just might have some chance…and also our spinners…Batting as a whole unit …no way.
NZ has small grounds so we need some stroke players as well but in current team except Umar we can't trust any one else even he is not consistent in batting
