I am pleased to know that you can read Waqar's mind. As to the hallmark of a supporting captian, yup we saw it in Nairobi when he sent back our best batsmen home to satisfy his ego.

Dont dwell on the past and ther eis no doubt everyone makes mistakes!
It is no secret that Imran Khan tried to exclude Javed Miandad coz of their differences in 1988-89 but they too worked out hier differences just for the sake of Pakistan and seems WAqar and youhana did tha too!

you might not have seen the match but it wwas very heartening to see that right after the match ended, Waqar ran to Zahid and encouraged him and it was audible that he was saying 'Come on, Zahid shabash and then later on he was seen talking with Pybus and Zahid. Thats what Good cptains do, You can criticize anyways :)

This wasn't I was looking for.

Pakistan should have won it by large margin.

Anyway, Congragulations to Pakistan. Well played by Elahi, Yoyo and Umer. Our bowlers didn't perform as they did in last match.

What has happened to Saleem Elahi!!! Dude has actually started to score runs… damn! just when we were ready to kick him out for good. :~(

Well… ab kiya ho sakta hai… good work all of them..

Well played Pakistan team :k: :k: :k: :k: :k:

Though ofcourse, they should realize their weakspots.. if Zimbabwe batting can score so many off them, then good batting teams like India, Aussies, Windies and SAfricans will butcher them. Bowling has always been the main strength of Pakistan. It will be a shame to lose out due to weak bowling.

well said Faisal!

I m not umm sure about Taufeeq, Though he is def scoring runs and got solid defence But he doesnt have too many oneday shots up in his armory! I mean he is not that special square of the wicket on the offside! IF Saeed can fit in in his place, this place is surely better coz Saeed is a master of oneday game!

pak bowlin waz bad

i thought waqar gonna get hiz 400 wiketz in thiz match but he didn't:(

This is a worry. We have posted 300~ each time, and twice have had to work too hard for victory, I mean was it like 10 runs the 1`st game and 40~ now?

Sad seeing as we will not rack up 300+ like this against better teams, our bowlers need to perform.

Brilliant Youhana Wants More

Youhana’s century helped Pakistan win comfortably

Yousuf Youhana said he hoped to continue the purple patch which has seen him star in Pakistan’s successful tour of Zimbabwe.

His 100 not out in the third one-day international against Zimbabwe on Wednesday helped Pakistan to an unassailable 3-0 series lead.

That followed knocks of 141 not out and 76 not out in the first two matches, leaving him with an unbeaten aggregate of 317 runs from the limited overs series so far.

“I’m in very good form, for the first time in a long time,” Youhana said.

**"(My faith in) God has helped me a lot, especially during and after my shoulder injury in August, which kept me out for one and a half months.

"I thank God for my form. My parents and my wife and daughters all pray for me.

“But I want to score many more runs, because this form won’t last forever. I don’t want to lose this grip.” **

Youhana’s purple patch began in the Test series in Zimbabwe. He averaged 74 in the two Tests, with a highest score of 159.

And he insists there will be no respite for the hosts in the next two matches, even though Pakistan have already wrapped up the series.

“That has no effect, I still want to have the same approach,” Youhana said.

Yeah because he didn’t want so suffer from humiliation like someone mentioned!

I agree, I belive that he is not a one day player, but more of a Test player. If Saeed comes in for him, it would be even better if Saleem Elahi keeps playing the way he is!

I'm just imagining Saeed comming upto Elahi, Umar and Afridi and saying.. "can't we all just be openers"! (Hence "Can't we all just be friends")

Anyways, the real skill will be determined against South Africa. But I believe both Umar and Elahi will carry on their wonderful partnership form.
