Actually that is a good point. If it comes down to run rate - though I don’t have a clue abt calf details. I think India after the mauling by aussies has dug a deep hole in the rr Dept.

I hereby declare that pakistani team should be in the presence of a motivational speaker, or psychologist/psychiatrist prior to ALL pak-india matches. Defeat and defensive technique is being ingrained not only in their brains, but many of their fans.

Pakistan are up against it now. Australia are peaking at the right time and we face a monumental task to beat them on Tuesday. The game between SA and India could go either way
Can't help feeling that India and Australia will qualify from Group 2 and Sri Lanka and England from Group 1
Actually I see a pattern in international cricket esp. in world tournaments
NZ may beat other teams but they struggle against Pakistan, England and Australia
South Africa tend to struggle against Australia and Pakistan
Despite playing well against other teams, Pakistan seem to have a mental block against India (and Australia)
Sri Lanka may beat other teams but they usu. struggle against Pakistan and Australia
India may beat Pakistan but they struggle against Australia

What a poorly planned innings and poor team selection from Pakistan....same way that win dies lost to SL.
Every team today in this t20 is on a normal day winning only because of the top order. Take Aussies...whomever gets Watson cheap will most likely bag the game against them. Same with saffies. Last two games lost by them because amla and Levi were removed cheaply. Pakistan need to think deep and hard before the game against Aussies. Yes bat first, be positive, but make sure your opener plays his normal game with only reasonable caution. Don't experiment with afridi, he is not going to be the saviour.
Play razzaq as a good medium pace option instead of afridi against Aussies. Ajmal raza or hafee:-) are enough spin for Aussies.

serves PCB right for not picking Junaid and Wahab. Sami and bits and pieces players like Tanvir and Arafat should never have been selected
You need specialists even in T20 cricket, genuine batsmen and wicket-taking bowlers like Starc and Steyn. Razzaq should have played instead of Arafat.
There was a time when we had world-class pace bowlers like Imran, Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib Akhtar, Asif and Aamir. Now we have Arafat/Tanvir as our second seamer!
Anyways batting flopped today. 128 is impossible to defend

Afridi can't be blamed today... the gamble with his batting up the order didn't exactly pay off but hey that's what it was... a gamble!
Who is to blame? Nazir, Jamshed, K Akmal for lack of application with the bat... and most of all, Hafeez.
Pakistan's captaincy woes continue... here I thought Hafeez was a thinking captain but today he proved to choke under pressure with the bat and in the field. Very casual captaincy from him... failed to adapt to the situation - big time!

It's been 35 years so there should be a name for this curse by now. It is very much like the Bambino curse that kept Red Sox from winning against the Yankees or British tennis player not able to win a grand slam for a very long time. Let me have a swipe at that. How about Faqeerino Curse (or Faqeer kee bad-dua in urdu).
