Pakistan V India - 3rd ODI

Matty, since when did you start watching cricket? :hoonh: You used to hate it from what i can recall …

excuse me guys? :snooty:

The Pakistani team is a million times better than the Indian team ahooo :jhanda:

wow mashllah… i knew that we were going to win.. but its sad to see afridi didnt score anythin.. if he wanna be in the team then he should impress selectors in every single match…

kahir may be they pick him on next game and hope he performs…

Thank you so much WHOMEE sabyy for providing us a live broadcast… you guys are the best…

insahllah we will win next 2 games for sure.. :jhanda:

Mats probably still hates cricket…just can’t bear to miss out on a chance to get involved in an Indo-Pak dust up :hehe:

Shabbir’s three wickets showed him at his devastating best today - India’s top 3 batsmen were dismissed three absolute pearlers.

I thought Shoaib Akhtar also bowled great and his figures didn’t do him justice. Sami was poor today but he’ll bounce.

Sadi, I still hate cricket..but in the absence of March Madness in Bombay, where I am stuck for a few weeks, cricket is the only game in town that I can mention with all these kids around...

paas mein aa, tujhey chupkey sey bataa deyta hoon, aur kaunsey khel kheltein hain baRe baRe loag. :Pretty:

He did score, didn’t he? :konfused: And its not easy to be on top form every game - I’m sure he did his best.

yaar Xtreme, d you honestly think I care who wins…as long as it is not a wipeout I am happy. It is far better than shelling across teh LOC, no? Unless Lajwanti is on the other side.. :rocket:

Afridi played a reckless shot ( now there’s something we haven’t seen before  ) but the Lahore track should suit him better. And to be fair, Pathan did bowl a pretty good inswinger which swerved late. Still if he gets out like that next match I don’t think he’ll play in the final game. there are some pretty good batsmen fighting for that opening spot.

I wish you’d get your head out of Sami’s ass Xtremeo  Yeh Affers style of batting is too arogant for important matches, but then that’s just him. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. i for one am prepared to take the risk.

Sami's a good bowler Sobi we wouldn't have won that last match without him. You need attacking fields to get the best out of someone like that. Afridi's a tosspot but he's got balls and that counts for a lot in these games. i'd give him another go too.

... or without Affers 80 off 58 balls. Everyone has off days, and today was an off day for both, Afridi and Sami.

yeah not to mention sehwag, tendy and Gangs...off day all around.

The ever dependable Razzaq, yet again, fine performance in the end when we needed it. I dont think we need to make any changes in the line-up for the Lahore games.

Kaif and Laxman haven't produced at all in this series. I think they owe India some runs in the next two. However if their lean run continues I won't really mind...

  • very well played lads, exciting game to watch, in the end paki power prevailed :dhimpak: i was impressed with shabbir’s bowling today gr8 line ‘n’ length and good seam control, had 10di’s work cut out with a ripper but still laxman’s wicket took the cake wat a beauty skidded off the surface and bang bails r flying :bhangra: as i have said in the past sami suxed badly, he only delivers once every 10 + odi innings, he isn’t consistent full stop and my predictions on him as of late have been true!!!

razzaq found form with the ball finally hallelujah shabash kidda, also sialkoti malik took wickets for a change that’s a surprising fact, normally its’ working his way through his allocated overs and of to his fielding position, but he suxed with the bat again.

well played yasir hameed gr8 innings unfortunately couldn’t convert it into a well deserved ton in his home town, shame. now this brings me to afridi, wat happened!!! he is coming back to his old tricks again, slogging every ball left, right, centre!!! his temperament needs to change badly if he wants to stay in that odi line up, he like sami clicks every 10+ odi innings, if he wants to bat like that, then he suits only the pitch hitter tag and should bat @ number 6 position or below, him throwing his wicket away puts the whole batting lineup under immense pressure!!! and that showed today, we were something like 55/4 at one stage not good :nono:

well batted razzaq, the very reliable all rounder with the bat as of late, a good hard worked fifty and a well deserved win for pakistan!!! jeooooooooooo boys, now we need to finsih off the series @ lahore, i want us to win in style and win 4-1 but its’ early days yet, anyways 3-2 win will also do

:jhanda: congrats’ all paki supporters :jhanda:

You sure you watch him bowl?

i had a great day at school, i was kept updated by my friend (who brought her mobile to school, although we r forbidden to) abt the indian batting, i was like  wen the score was 198/8, n we kind of celebrated pakistan’s victory in advance at school, but wen we got the news that afridi was out, all the high spirits were dampened :hehe:

my other friends were like, “if pakistan is over-confidence they’ll lose”
someone was saying, “pakistan has won only one match, theyll lose this one”

i’m sure these anti-pak friends of mine are eating their words rite now :biggthumb

:jhanda:

this was not a pretty match. whereas the first two matches were batter's delights, this one was a little more down to earth. pakistan had the perfect start but didn't keep their foot on the accelerator. i still cannot figure just how India managed a score of 240+ after being the direst of circumstances. you have to call attention to their fighting spirit and their never-say-die attitude.

Inzy has really surprised as captain in this series. he was criticized for bowling first in Karachi but it proved to be the right decision and today too it was correct. he himself said he expects to chase a score around 250. his fielding placement and bowling changes were right on i thought. i think the batsmen on both sides have become accustomed to runs easily pouring off the bat and were taken aback that they actually had to work for runs today. the few batsmen who showed temperament (yuvraj, razzaq, hamid) were rewarded.

One gets the feeling that the after the Karachi match, pakistan was surprised at just how beatable this Indian side was. One had heard about their tremendous batting, their foreign-trained fielders, their newly found bowlers and how the took Australia to the limit. In reality, I feel that even though Team Pakistan is rebuilding, we might be just a little better than India. Though our team doesn't have the superstars India does, we do have superstars-in-the-making and play as a collective unit. If anything, Karachi taught us that we could actually compete with these guys; in Rawalpindi and Peshawar, we have proved to be the team that wants it most. Let's see what is in store for us in Lahore. We should take heart from the fact that this series could already by 3-0 and that India's bowling is not very threatening.

Pakistan team yet again showed some individual gutsy performances.
Batting has enough depth ( Pakistan’s hallmark ) to take pressure in the end. Razzak/Moin/Shoaib Malik/ love to do what they do in the crunch overs.
Yassir ! has yet again proved himself to be very composed and thinking batter. Andaaaza karoo jub yeh pura jawan ho jayey gaa aur shave kerna sheruu ker day ga.

Over all true “fighting tigers” performance by Pakistan :jhanda:

Well played India. But Please stay away from controvercies of “whisper campaigns” in the media of accusing Pakistan bowlers of chukking. :nook:

  • eh yes i’m sure :smack2: , shabbir was the best bowler out there today, he found his line along side shoaibi who bowled good off cutters and swung the bowl well, apart from the few extras the bowlinh was top notch!!!
