Despite the exceptionally good batting effort today, one cannot help feeling that Pakistan could have been in an even stronger position.

Both Azhar and Asad gifted their wickets after playing so well.

And once again the new ball did the damage. The last session of play is where Pak have been repeatedly letting themselves down (happened on days 3 & 4 at Edgbaston, happened today and yesterday as well). So does it boil down to fitness levels. Misbah’s was the crucial wicket. He is a bit suspect against the new ball early on in his innings. Iftikhar has no business being in the test squad let alone the final XI :smack: His selection has nepotism/political connections written all over it. How can Inzamam or any of the other selectors justify his selection?

At times in this series we have n’t seized the advantage when we have been on top. Reduced England to 74/4 and then 110/5 yesterday but they still managed to score 328 thanks to Moeen being dropped when he had only made 9 and Wahab overstepping when he had Bairstow out.

England were 158-5 at Edgbaston but went on to score 297. We were 257-2 in reply but then got dismissed for 400 when 500+/- was within reach.

Hope Younis and Sarfraz are able to bat through the morning session tomorrow. Wahab and Amir can bat a bit

Well done yk n a sad. I was expecting this from yk. Hopefull of a bigger ton.
Asad need to set his targets above 100. He don't get chances always n need to capitalize to fullest. These small 100s can be converted to bigger ones. Our coaches need to talk to hI'm long. He has all capabililties of being another moyo

The Parchi Ahmed, who got his parchi and how did he made into the team...playing one or two first class match...how come he even made to squad??? Seems to be big parchi and big enemy of Pak cricket

Played 6 innings for nothing and now in his seventh innings he performed...

Had he stayed on the wicket in 3rd test...we may have chance to win the series

It was his dancing and jumping on the wicket what got him. ..

No body says he have to score a ton or a fifty in every inning...but at least 40 runs specially when it is cruicial time and you can draw a match and it is matter or 40 odd overs to survive
