Pakistan V England - 4th test match at Oval

Re: Pakistan V England - 4th test match at Oval

Agree GA. Aleem Dhar does a great job.

Also the western commentators have a way of just agreeing with whatever favorable decisions the umps give their side. They say it in such a matter of fact manner that you almost believe them.

When an Australian bowler appeals, it is always a good shout. When Asian bowlers appeal, they are overdoing it.

One pet pet peeve is the umpires call on the field. If the ump is biased, (there is plenty of evidence to suggest he is) he can make that close call inevitably go one way. And his call stands. And the appealing team loses its appeal and gets debited one appeal. If technology is good, then don’t go with ump call. This will even the field (even if technology is bad). No more chance for call on the field to DICTATE the outcome in close decisions. And do not debit losing team when they lose the close call just because call on field went against them.

It is not just the outs and decisions that affect outcome. The western bowler can bowl more confidently, more aggressively, knowing he will get that clos call. The Asian batsman is more diffident which affects his confidence. Same true for western batsman and Asian bowler.
