Yeah what an idiotic shot by Malik...just lobbed it to short midwicket, he tends to play that leg glance through mid wicket uppish all the time and this time Eng did their homework and put a fielder in just the right spot...
If you have difficulty keeping the ball down in that region then the best strategy is to do an Afridi and go all out...just loft it all the way over...

Well we hope thats the case, i dont see the logic behind having someone like Malik in a Test team, let alone as an opener.

exactly if india was a little smarter when we visited there malik played a lot of shots early in innings but they were defensive and allowed him to play his shots, i ve been saying this for a while i luv his commitment but truth is truth, if a thinking capatain attacks malik early in his innings malik will struggle!

we were all against Afridi, but he has adjusted himself. I myself, am against too many all rounders in the team.

Both commentators (Ramiz & Waqar) going after Shoaib Malik. Well, I am no Malik fanboy but I think he had been playing reasonably well. He seemed to have overcome to a reasonable degree his lack of footwork. Yes, he got out to a false shot, but otherwise he was looking confident.

Malik played a horrible shot but lets not forget that he got 3 key wickets in this match, else we would have been looking at 400+

ramiz and waqar making a good point which imran has been making for a while, inzi needs to move up the order instead of playing in crisis avoid it!! ok inzi bats well with tail, but no excuse for yousuf not coming up the order, i know i sound like a yousuf basher, but this is the truth!

Shoaib Malik has got to put on a show in the 2nd inning to save the grace... he is too good to let the team and the coach down.... u guys r rite... he got 3 important wickets... Credit is due... but yah, these irresponsible shots r killing it
