Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

So it turned out a good change for Pakistan. Sohail Khan exploited the conditions better than other bowlers.

I hope Sami Aslam does something good too. Can they survive first hour without losing wicket?

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Looking at our 250ish batting, England's 297 might still prove to be a very good total on this wicket. Credit to the bowlers for not letting England run away with the game by posting a mammoth total on what most people are saying is a good batting wicket. By the close of play tomorrow we will know which way this game is heading. Bowlers have done their job now it's upto the batsmen to bat sensibly and try and get a first innings lead, however small.

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Why every english batsman was staying at the wicket after getting out, giving a stare at umpire, shaking their heads as if they all are totally notout.

Such drama queens..

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Btw just read this:

Sarfraz Ahmed became the first Pakistani wicket-keeper to take 5 catches in England in an innings since Wasim Bari in 1971

:jhanda:

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Ab Sarfraz ki bari hai.

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Pak if want to win or draw this match...they need to Bat-Out England, a lead of 250 or more should be there to make sure either Pakistan doesnt bat again or if they have to then the target shouldnt be in three figures.

Having said that, it is a batting wicket, and we have Hafeez kind of batsmen in English condition...so yeah we can hope for best but just need to realize that we can't

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Sohail Khan push-ups. burn :biggthumb:

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Since Pakistan is playing well...

Credit goes to whom...i guess everyone is going to claim it...

Nothing from ISPR till now though

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Wen u bat well n long. Not only u score more but also get the fielders n specially opponent bowlers more tired

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Brilliant batting by Azhar and Sami (felt for him, needlessly runout when just 18 runs shy of becoming the youngest overseas test opener to score a 100 in England) Nevertheless a wonderful knock by him.

Must cut out such silly mistakes; can be the difference between taking advantage of a good position and just throwing it away. Hope Younis finds his form and rhythm in this innings. He has been mostly jumping or dancing around at the wicket in this series.

Hope the rest of the batsmen bat sensibly now. Thanks to that 181-run partnership, Pakistan are well-placed to take a healthy first innings lead. Can they make it count now?

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Both the changes that Pak made for this game have worked, Sohail and Sami

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

English...as usual...started crying...

Rain stopped the play

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Looks like Ehsan bhai is doing a some wazeefa for Pakistani batsmen while sitting in the stadium.

Now all he needs is to hold the clouds for some time to have a better finish :madz:

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Since Ehsan bhai is there in stadium...he should be glued to his seat in stadium...for rest of the match

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Post-rain conditions will suit bowlers. With new ball due, things can be more challenging. I just hope YK stops jumping around and play more straight.

Re: Pakistan V England - 3rd test at Edgbaston

Azhar gone last ball of the day
