Afridi, why o why?! 
This incident will overshadow and take precedence over Inzamam’s and Youhana’s misfortunes in given out as it is cheating and not an umpire’s decision. The English, typically, are gonna kick up a huge stink over this :o The only way that would shut them up now would be if only the seamers get wickets and not the spinners.
I suspect a fine heading in Afridi’s direction.

Day 1 was Pakistan's - Tresco's wkt makes day 2 as well, I believe.
Big drop by Vaughan to reprieve Afridi, 245-5 and England may have been into the tail by close, instead a typical counter-attack from Afridi has taken the game away from England, even if he looked less assured against the new ball.
Bell's catch looks dodgy on the replay, I don't think it would have been given had it been referred.
The umpires are only supposed to refer if unsighted, and obviously both felt able to give the decision. Yousuf unlucky.
Ridiculous run-out decision re Inzi.
The 3 reasons for picking Naved over Shabbir - improved the lower order, looks more potent with the ball, no problems with his action - have all been demonstrated on day 2, even if it was a poor shot from an out-of-form Strauss.

I think there will be a LOT of relief in the Pakistani camp if all Afridi has to pay is a fine.

Even if Afridi escapes with just a fine, bob woolmer should make sure that afridi lifts inzi on his back and run 10 rounds of stadium ‘non-stop’ as a punishment to what he did.

My worst fears have been confirmed, Geo Tv: Afridi has been banned for 1 Test and 2 ODI's. This was confirmed by interview with Inzi. Very stiff punishment considering it's a first offense. Usually its either 1 Test or 2 ODI's. This will be a big blow to Pakistan, lets hope we can seal the series win in this match.

wow, afridi is buggin!! this is a blow for us because mentally he will think about it and wont b the same bowling, and we havent won this test yet, so he'svital and for 2 odis? wow!

Afridi got what he deserved, very true but on the same time BELL did not got what he deserved … A BAN …
Looks funny that when Pakistani claims a wrong catch he was banned for 5 match and that brings that guys career to an end (Rashid Latif) and when BELL (a goar) claims a wrong catch he is not even called upon left alone a BAN!!!

I just checked geo and the ban on afridi is not confirmed yet but they hav forward the case to ICC but i think it is obvious that he will get 1 test and 2 ODi’s Ban 
bcoz of his stupidity level.

Yes…but Afridi can appeal in writing within 24 hours for his banning of 1 test and 2 ODIs…
The whole act is unfortunate…

2nd Day also belonged to Pakistan, Mashallah se. Inzi scored century and became victim of ignorance. Afridi became victim of cheating but then ruined his own as well as Pakistani cricket’s image by attempting to damage the pitch when all cameras are ON.

and then force follow on and get them again in 200 … an innings defeat to England will be so sweet!

If pakistan wins the match than PCB should not appeal against the ban.
Most of the time cricket boards appeal against a decision just to buy time so the player can play the remainder of the matches specially if they are crucial matches.
In this case if Pakistan can clinch the series in the 2nd test, afridi should serve the ban in the 3rd test instead of playing the 3rd relatively unimportant match. This will allow him to play the first test against India.
Unfortunately he will not be able to appear in the first 2 ODI's with England which is a big blow.
